Cowper Lane - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
COWPER LANE, CRICH
WHEN: 20 January to 21 January 2026 (between 08:00 to 16:00 only).
WHERE: Cowper Lane, Crich, approx. 120m south from its Jct. with B5035 for 20m.
REASON: To facilitate replacement of decayed pole. ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Cowper Lane, Chadwick Nick Lane, Top Hagg Lane, The Common, Sandy Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
