Bruce Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Spencer Road and Bruce Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.10) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 1st January 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
SPENCER ROAD
From its junction with Eastern Parade for 30 metres.
BRUCE ROAD
From its junction with Eastern Parade for 30 metres.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate gas main works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 1st January 2026 to 28th February 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Salisbury Road, Festing Road, Eastern Parade.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
