Fort Cumberland Road - Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Fort Cumberland Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.8) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 5th January 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
HALLIDAY CRESCENT
From its junction Driftwood Gardens to its junction with Henderson Road (on both sides).
FINCH ROAD
From its junction with Gibraltar Road to its junction with Ferry Road (on both sides).
FORT CUMBERLAND ROAD
From its junction Henderson Road to its junction with Gibraltar Road (on both sides).
FERRY ROAD
From its junction Fort Cumberland Road to its junction with Finch Road (on both sides).
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate gas mains works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 5th January 2026 to 30th April 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
