EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 The East Sussex (U7910 Forest Lane, Punnetts Town)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act

1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Forest Lane – from the junction with U7911 Blackdown Lane to Iron Latch Cottages.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible. The Order commences 14 January 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 14 and 15 January 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U5401 Streat Lane, Streat)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act

1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Streat Lane – from the junction with C71 St Helena Lane to the junction with U5998 Hemsleys Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C71 Middleton Common Lane – U5996 Spatham Lane – B2116 Lewes Road – U5401 Streat Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 14 January 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 14 and 15 January 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7909 Upper Greenwoods Lane, Punnetts Town)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act

1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Upper Greenwoods Lane – from the junction with B2096 Battle Road to the junction with U7598 North Street.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7916 Coldharbour Lane – B2096 Battle Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 12 January 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 and 23 January 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow M Jaques Groundworks Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

Baxters Lane – from the junction with U7491 Tanyard Lane to the junction with C5 Stone Quarry Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C5 Stone Quarry Road – U7491 Tanyard Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 12 January 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 and 16 January 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act

1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Spinney Lane – from the junction with U7035 Hanging Birch Lane to the junction with A267 Little London Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7035 Hanging Birch Lane – U7671 Hanging Birch Lane – U7036 Hanging Birch Lane – A267 Little London Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 13 January 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 13 January 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7061 Deanland Road, Chiddingly/Ripe)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days of the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

Deanland Road – from the junction with C207 Chalvington Road to the junction with U7061 Ripe Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7061 Ripe Lane – C331 Church Lane – C207 Chalvington Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 12 January 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 and 14 January 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C411 Station Road, Hailsham)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 No.2

To allow Advanced Electricity Networks Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Station Road – from the junction with A295 George Street to the junction with U7210 Bellbanks Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic northbound via A295 George Street, North Street, High Street – C718 Market Square, Market Street, Mill Road, Old Swan Lane – C411 Station Road & southbound via C411 Station Road – C718 Old Swan Lane, Mill Road, Market Street, Market Square – A295 George Street.

The Order commences 12 January 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 and 16 January 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C3 Crowborough Road, Duddleswell/Nutley)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Crowborough Road – from the junction with B2026 Duddleswell Road to the junction with A22 Millbrook Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2026 Duddleswell Road, Lampool Road, Straight Half Mile – A22 Horney Common Road, Courtlands Road, Fords Green Road, High Street and vice versa.

The Order commences 15 January 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 15 and 16 January 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U5661 Bishops Lane, Ringmer)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Bishops Lane – from the junction with B2192 Lewes Road to the junction with U5313 Tile Kiln.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic southbound via U5661 Bishops Lane – U5015 Norlington Lane – C112 Church Hill, Church Crescent – B2192 Lewes Road & northbound via B2192 Lewes Road – C112 Vicarage Way, Church Hill – U5015 Norlington Lane – U5661 Bishops Lane. The Order commences 12 January 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 and 16 January 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026

To allow JH Payne & Sons to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of footpath;

Temporary Footpath Closure

Popes Passage – from the junction with A277 High Street to the junction with U5156 Castle Ditch Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5156 Castle Ditch Lane, Castle Precincts, Castle Gate – A277 High Street and vice versa or U5156 Castle Ditch Lane, Commercial Passage – A2029 Fisher Street – A277 High Street and vice versa.

The Order commences 12 January 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 January and 27 March 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.
