What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (WEATHERCOCK LANE, ASPLEY GUISE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Weathercock Lane, Aspley Guise outside number 86.

This temporary closure is required to enable excavation and box replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 8 January 2026. Between the hours of 0900-1500hrs The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Russell Street and Station Road.

The Order will come into operation on 8 January 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (HIGH STREET, SILSOE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of High St, Silsoe outside number 20a.

This temporary closure is required to enable pole replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 6 to 7 January 2026 between the hours of 9am and 1530pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via A6, Barton Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 6 January 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (BERRY END, EVERSHOLT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Berry End, Eversholt.

This temporary closure is required to enable gully cleaning work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 6 to 8 January 2026 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Cobblers Lane, C100 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 6 January 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL – NOTICE OF MAKING WOBURN ROAD, DENTON DRIVE AND BEDFORD ROAD, MARSTON MORETEYNE WAITING RESTRICTIONS

On 16th December 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:To introduce No waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Marston Moreteyne:-

1. Denton Drive, both sides, from the junction with Woburn Road/ Bedford Road and extending in a north westerly direction for approximately 10 metres.

2. Woburn Road, north side, from the junction with Denton Drive and extending in a south westerly direction for approximately 10 metres.

3. Bedford Road, north side, from the junction with Denton Drive and extending in a north easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.

4. Woburn Road, south side, from a point in line with the centre of the junction with Denton Drive and extending in a south westerly direction for approximately 12.5 metres.

5. Bedford Road, south side, from a point in line with the centre of the junction with Denton Drive and extending in a north easterly direction for approximately 12.5 metres.

MILL ROAD AND SPRINGFIELD WAY, CRANFIELD WAITING RESTRICTIONS

On 16th December 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:

To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Cranfield:-

1. Mill Road, west side, from a point in line with the northern property boundary belonging to No. 2 Springfield Way and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 50 metres.

2. Mill Road, west side, from a point in line with the southern flank wall belonging to No. 51 Mill Road and extending in a south-westerly direction for approximately 11.5 metres.

3. Springfield Way, both sides, from the junction with Mill Road and extending in a south-easterly direction for approximately 15 metres.

4. Mill Road, east side, from a point in line with the southern flank wall belonging to No. 51 Mill Road and extending in a south-westerly direction for approximately 45 metres.

5. Mill Road, east side, from the junction with Springfield Way and extending in a south-westerly direction for approximately 7 metres.

To introduce Parking for Disabled badge holders only on the following lengths of road in Westoning:-

1.  Flitwick Road, west side from a point approximately 1 metre south of the dropped kerb outside No.55 and 57 Flitwick Road, extending in a north-westerly direction and covering an area approximately 6.6 metres in length and 2.2 metres in width.

On 16th December 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:

To introduce No waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Flitwick:-

1. Windmill Road, south side, from a point where the existing waiting restrictions end at the south-west side of the raised junction at Millwright Way and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 28 metres.

2. Windmill Road, south side, from a point approximately 10 metres west of the junction with High Street (where the existing waiting restrictions end) and extending in a westerly direction for approximately 12 metres (up to where the kerb drops to allow for Flitwick Fisheries customer parking).
