(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN NORCOTT FARM LANE, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Norcott Farm Lane, Berkhamsted from its junction with Wharf Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 327m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Wharf Lane, Norcott Hill and Norcott Farm Lane. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 January 2026 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

IN BROWNLOW ROAD AND NEW ROAD, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Brownlow Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Bridgewater Road south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Station Road, a distance of approximately 96m.
An alternative route will be via Brownlow Road, New Road, The Common, Gravel Path, Ravens Lane, A4251 High Street and Lower King Street.
2. that length of New Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Station Road north eastwards to its junction with Whitehill, a distance of approximately 54m.
An alternative route will be via Station Road, Gravel Path and Whitehill. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 January 2026 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):1. that length of Bellgate, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Cambrian Way north westwards to its junction with Bathurst Road, a distance of approximately 95m.
An alternative route will be via Cambrian Way, Fletcher Way and Bathurst Road.
2. that length of Maynard Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Albion Hill northwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. 3. the A414 slip road leading onto the northbound carriageway of A414 Two Waters Way, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4251 London Road north eastwards to its junction with the northbound carriageway of A414 Two Waters Way, a distance of approximately 30m.
An alternative route will be via A41 Two Waters Way and A414 Two Waters Way. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 January 2026 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

An alternative route will be via High Street, B4505 Chesham Road and Leyhill Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

1. that length of Gadebridge Lane/Betjeman Way, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 616m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of Westfield Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Bell Lane south eastwards to its junction with the Durrants Lane roundabout, a distance of approximately 432m.
An alternative route will be via Bell Lane, A4251 High Street and Durrants Lane.
3. that length of Woodlands Avenue/Coram Close, Berkhamsted from its junction with Swing Gate Lane south westwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. 4. that length of Jocketts Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Northridge Way north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Long Chaulden, a distance of approximately 596m.
An alternative route will be via Northridge Way and Long Chaulden. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 5 January 2026 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of Bennetts End Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with St Albans Hill north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with the
St Albans Road/White Hart Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 146m. An alternative route will be via St Albans Hill, Lawn Lane and A414 St Albans Road. 2. that length of Belsize Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Bennetts End Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 10m.
An alternative route will be via Bennetts End Road, Acorn Road and Belsize Road.
3. that length of Gammon Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Bennetts End Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 10m. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because gas main works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 5 January 2026 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, FELDEN AND BOVINGDON) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads” will be:
1.To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Felden Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4251 London Road south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Sheethanger Lane, a distance of approximately 870m, except for access.
An alternative route will be via A4251 London Road, B4505 (Box Lane/Hempstead Road), High Street, Chipperfield Road, Flaunden Lane and Longcroft Lane.
2.All vehicular traffic is prohibited from proceeding along that length of
Longcroft Lane, Hemel Hempstead/Felden from its junction with Chipperfield Road north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Flaunden Lane, a distance of approximately 2646m other than in a northerly direction only, when signs are in place.
An alternative route will be via Chipperfield Road, High Street, B4505 (Hempstead Road/Box Lane), A4251 London Road, Felden Lane and Flaunden Lane.
3.All vehicular traffic is prohibited from proceeding along that length of Flaunden Lane, Felden/Bovingdon from its junction with Longcroft Lane south westwards to its junction with Chipperfield Road, a distance of approximately 2364m other than in a southerly direction only, when signs are in place. An alternative route will be via Felden Lane, A4251 London Road, B4505 (Box Lane/Hempstead Road), High Street and Chipperfield Road. The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 5 January 2026 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. An alternative route will be via Bovingdon Byway Open to All Traffic No.007 (Shantock Hall Lane), Leyhill Road, Green Lane, Bovingdon Green, Long Lane and Shantock Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Byway Open to All Traffic.

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Boxted Road, Polehanger Lane and Whitebroom Road, Hemel Hempstead as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice. It is also proposed under sections 90A – 90F of the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999, to install speed cushions in those lengths of Boxted Road, Hemel Hempstead as specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

The speed cushions to be laid in pairs will be constructed and lit in accordance with The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 at a height of approximately 65mm above the existing carriageway with on/off gradients of approximately 1:8 and side gradients of approximately 1:5.
