What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(LEACROFT AVENUE) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Leacroft Avenue in both directions between its junction with Showell Circus to outside property 16.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 5th January 2026 until 23rd January 2026.
The diversion route is: Showell Circus, Kempthorne Avenue, Bushbury Lane, Sandy Lane, Old Fallings Lane, Whitgreave Avenue and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate a new sewer connection by Quantum Groundworks.
