What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 – SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT, 1991
WALSALL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) (VARIOUS ROADS, BLOXWICH) ORDER JANUARY 2026

Notice is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prevent any vehicles proceeding in that length of:
• BLAKENALL LANE, BLOXWICH that is situated from its junction with B4210 Bloxwich Road to its junction with St Clement’s Avenue (Tuesday 3 February 2026 to Friday 6 February 2026) (09:30 – 14:45).
• BLAKENALL LANE, BLOXWICH that is situated from its junction with Chantry Avenue to its junction with Booth Street (Friday 6 February 2026 to Monday 9 February 2026) (09:30 – 14:45).
• BLAKENALL LANE, BLOXWICH that is situated from its junction with St Clement’s Avenue to its junction with Chantry Avenue (Monday 9 February 2026 to Sunday 22 February 2026) (09:30 – 14:45 except 16 February to Friday 20 February 08:00 – 15:00).
• BROADSTONE AVENUE, BLOXWICH that is situated from its junction with Harden Road to its junction with Chantry Avenue (Wednesday 28 January 2026 to Tuesday 3 February 2026) (09:30 – 15:30).
• CHANTRY AVENUE, BLOXWICH that is situated from its junction with Field Road to its junction with Valley Road (Monday 19 January 2026 to Wednesday 21 January 2026) (09:30 – 14:45).
• CHANTRY AVENUE, BLOXWICH that is situated from its junction with Blakenall Lane to its junction with Broadstone Avenue (Friday 23 January 2026 to Wednesday 28 January 2026) (09:30 – 14:45).
Reason for Order: Highway Improvement Scheme
Works on behalf of: Walsall Council (Road Safety)
This Order will come into operation on Monday 19 January 2026. It is anticipated that the works will be completed as close as possible to the dates above. Signed diversion routes (viewable on the website one.network) will be in operation for affected traffic. The Order will remain in force for a period of up to eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
