What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(HIGGS ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Higgs Road in both directions between its junction with Griffiths Drive to outside property 8.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 5 January 2026 until 16 January 2026.
The diversion route is: Griffiths Drive, Rogers Close, Snape Road and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works by Cadent.
