What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(COSGROVE WALK) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting pedestrians from proceeding on the entire length of Cosgrove Walk.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of six months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 5th January 2026 until 16th January 2026.
The pedestrian diversion route is: Eastney Crescent, Ryefield vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate gas main replacement works by Cadent Gas.
