Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 22 December 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of B269 Limpsfield Road, Warlingham which extends from its junction with The Ridge to its junction with Chelsham Road.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Alternative Route – Clarks Lane, Croydon Road, A25 High Street, A25 Westerham Road, A25 East Hill, A25 West Hill, A25 Godstone Road, A25 Oxted Road, A22 Godstone Bypass, A22 Godstone Hill, A22 Godstone Road, A22 Caterham Bypass, Succombs Hill, Narrow Lane, Westhall Road and The Green.
Church Street (D2814) Dorking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic and Suspension Order (No.3) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to
(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Church Street (D2814) Dorking which extends from its junction with Station Road (A2003) eastwards for a distance of 120 metres.
Alternative route – North Street, South Street, Vincent Lane, Wescott Road and
b) suspend “The Surrey County Council D2814 Church Street, Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” only insofar as it relates to that length of Church Street between Station Road and Meadowbrook Road; and
c) suspend “The Surrey County Council D2814 Church Street, Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” only insofar as it relates to that length of Church Street between Station Road and Meadowbrook Road.
This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 20 January 2026 is required to facilitate electrical utility works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Openreach within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over one day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure and the suspension of the Orders will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services vehicles and residents will be maintained at all times via operatives on site. Pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via use of the pedestrian footway.
