(UNNAMED FOOTPATH ADJACENT TO FREELAND PLACE AND LUGGIEBANK

ROAD, KIRKINTILLOCH)

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (NO. 7) ORDER 2025

On 16 December 2025 the East

Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to exercise or cause or permit to be exercised a pedestrian right of passage on that section of the unnamed footpath adjacent to Freeland Place and Luggiebank Road, Kirkintilloch from the point where the said unnamed footpath meets Freeland Place and Luggiebank Road, Kirkintilloch northeastwards for a distance of 55 metres or thereby to the existing underpass beneath the A806 New Lairdsland Road, Kirkintilloch, which runs adjacent to the Forth and Clyde Canal, by reason of works being executed on or near this road.

This Order shall come into operation at 18.00 hours on Friday, 19 December 2025 and remain in operation until 18.00 hours on Friday, 30 January 2026.

Alternative Routes

The alternative routes will be by way of the existing footpath network within Luggie Park, the existing underpass near the A806 Initiative Road/Parliament Road, and existing footways on Parliament Road, Townhead, and Freeland Place, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.
