THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WAKEFIELD
(SUGAR LANE, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 5) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for gas mains replacement to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Sugar Lane, Wakefield for approximately 75 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Sugar Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Sugar Lane, Belle Vue Road, Agbrigg Road, Sugar Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 6th January 2026 to 19th January 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(HILL TOP ROAD, NEWMILLERDAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 9) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for Telecoms Civils works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hill Top Road, Newmillerdam for approximately 55 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hill Top Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Chevet Lane, Barnsley Road & vice versa. Access will be maintained for residents where possible.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 5th January 2026 to 9th January 2026 between 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(WARMFIELD LANE, WARMFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 12) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for gas mains replacement to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Warmfield Lane, Warmfield for approximately 26.64 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Warmfield Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Warmfield Lane, Wakefield Road, Black Road, Doncaster Road, Neil Fox Way, Black Road, Kirkthorpe Lane, Warmfield Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 5th January 2026 to 8th January 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
