ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(HIGH STREET, BLUNHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of High Street, Blunham between junctions with Grange Road and Brickhill Close.
This temporary closure is required to enable infiltration work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 12th to 18th January 2026 between the hours of 7pm and 6am. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Tempsford Rd, Blunham Lane, A1, A603, The Ridgeway, Station Rd
The Order will come into operation on 12th January 2026 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (PULLOXHILL: PART OF FOOTPATH NO. 16)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of Footpath No. 16, Pulloxhill which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0613 3350 to OS GR TL 0624 3364.
This temporary closure is required to enable landscaping and construction works to be carried out as part of granted planning permission 24/02993/Full. The closure is expected to take place from 16 January 2026 for up to six months.
The alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0613 3350 along the property boundary to OS GR TL 0614 3353 then continues along the property boundary to a kissing gate at OS GR TL 0616 3352 then continues to OS GR TL 0624 3364.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 16 January 2026 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the footpath have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.

Notice of Confirmation of Public Path Order CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (HAYNES: PART OF BRIDLEWAY NO. 7) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025
On 12 December 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert part of Bridleway No. 7, Haynes.
The length of part of Bridleway No. 7, Haynes to be stopped up extends from its junction with an unaffected part of Bridleway No. 7, Haynes at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1019 4170 in a generally south-south-westerly direction for approximately 81 metres to terminate at its junction with an unaffected part of Bridleway No. 7, Haynes at OS GR TL 1015 4162.
The bridleway is stopped up across its full width.
The length of part of Bridleway No. 7, Haynes to be created extends from its junction with an unaffected part of Bridleway No. 7, Haynes at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1019 4170 in a generally south-westerly direction for approximately 40 metres to OS GR TL 1016 4167 then continues in a generally southerly direction for approximately 49 metres to terminate at its junction with an unaffected part of Bridleway No. 7, Haynes at OS GR TL 1015 4162.
The new route of the bridleway has a width of 4 metres. The order comes into force on 19 December 2025 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 18 December 2025 make an application to the High Court.

On 12 December 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The length of part of Footpath No. 2, Haynes to be created extends from its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. 2, Haynes at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0728 4162 in a generally westerly direction for approximately 227 metres to OS GR TL 0705 4158 then continues in a generally north-north-westerly direction for approximately 36 metres to terminate at its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. 2, Haynes at OS GR TL 0704 4161.
The new route of the footpath has a width of 2 metres.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE A NO ENTRY ON WOBURN ROAD, MARSTON MORETEYNE
Reason for proposal: The proposed Order is considered necessary avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road and for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. The restriction is already in place, however it has recently come to light that the original Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) is missing. We are therefore undertaking this retrospective consultation to meet statutory requirements and formally implement a new TRO.
Effect of the Order
To prohibit entry on the following road in Marston Moreteyne:1. Woburn Road, at the junction with Woburn Road and Marston Bypass. Details may also be viewed online at www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/publicstatutorynotices

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE NO WAITING AT ANY TIME ON BEDFORD ROAD, CRANFIELD
Reason for proposal: For avoiding danger to persons or other traffic and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising and for facilitating the passage of traffic on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians). More specifically, the waiting restrictions are intended to address indiscriminate parking and to ensure that junctions are not obstructed by parked vehicles.
Effect of the Order:
To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following length of road in Cranfield:-
1. Bedford Road, north side, from a point in line with the centre of the junction with Coronation Road and extending in an easterly direction for approximately 11 metres.
2. High Street, north side, from a point in line with the centre of the junction with Coronation Road and extending in a westerly direction for approximately 11 metres.
