Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA
Bradford Street, Tonbridge, TN9 1EH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow a new water service connection to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bradford Street, Tonbridge, on or after 7th January 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 64. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Brookfield Avenue, New Hythe, ME20 6GL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new electric connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brookfield Avenue, New Hythe, on or after 22nd January 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 1. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Castle Street, Tonbridge, TN9 1HG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Castle Street, Tonbridge, on or after 6th January 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with B2260 High Street to the junction with Castle Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative routes for any through traffic are via:
Diversion 1 - Castle Street, B2260 High Street, Lansdowne Road, Annison Street, The Slade, Bank Street, Castle Street.
Diversion 2 - Castle Street, Bank Street, B2260 High Street, Castle Street.
Comp Lane, Offham, ME19 5NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow drainage cleansing to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Comp Lane, Offham, on or after 8th January 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with B2016 Seven Mile Lane and the junction with Teston Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Teston Road, B2016 Seven Mile Lane and vice versa.
Dux Hill, Plaxtol, TN15 0RD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new water service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dux Hill, Plaxtol, on or after 5th January 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Dux Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dux Hill, Grange Hill, Tree Lane, Church Hill, The Street, Long Mill Lane, Dux Hill and vice versa.
Gibson Drive, Kings Hill, ME6 9SF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gibson Drive, Kings Hill, on or after 5th January 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with A228 Malling Road and Kings Hill Avenue, between the hours of 19:30 and 05:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gibson Drive, A228 Malling Road, A228 Ashton Way, Tower View, Kings Hill Avenue, Gibson Drive and vice versa.
High Street, Wouldham, ME1 3XN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow utility asset works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Wouldham, on or after 25th January 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Ferry Lane to the junction with Portland Road, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. The One-Way Order on High Street will be suspended to allow for diversion.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Knowle Road, Pilgrims Way, School Lane, High Street and vice versa.
High Street, Snodland, ME6 5EB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new electric connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Snodland, on or after 22nd January 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside property numbers 24/25, Post Office and Co-op, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Malling Road, St Katherines Lane, Birling Road and vice versa.
Kemsing Road, Wrotham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kemsing Road, Wrotham, on or after 19th January 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the Pilgrims Way footpath, for a distance approximately 446 metres in a West direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kemsing Road, High Street, Bull Lane, A20 London Road, Terrys Lodge Road, Exedown Road, Kemsing Road and vice versa.
Lavenders Road, West Malling, ME19 6HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow sewer connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lavenders Road, West Malling, on or after 5th January 2026 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside property numbers 136, 137 and 139/141. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lavenders Road, Lucks Hill, Clare Lane, Broadwater Road, Lavenders Road and vice versa.
Long Mill Lane, St Mary’s Platt, TN15 8QE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new water service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Long Mill Lane, St Mary’s Platt, on or after 5th January 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Crouch Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Long Mill Lane, A25 Maidstone Road, A25 Sevenoaks Road, A25 Borough Green Road, A227 Borough Green Road, A227 The Street, A227 Bates Hill, A227 Tonbridge Road, Plaxtol Lane, Church Hill, The Street, Long Mill Lane and vice versa.
Nizels Lane, Hildenborough, TN11 8NW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow drainage improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Nizels Lane, Hildenborough, on or after 19th January 2026 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed opposite Bourne Place Meadows. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Nizels Lane, Philpots Lane, Rings Hill, Watts Cross Road, B245 London Road, Nizels Lane and vice versa.
Oldbury Lane, Ightham, TN15 9AQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow signage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oldbury Lane, Ightham, on or after 19th January 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with A25 Ightham Bypass to the junction with Spring Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A25 Ightham Bypass, Spring Lane and vice versa.
Plaxdale Green Road, Stansted (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Plaxdale Green Road, Stansted, on or after 20th January 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Parsons Lane to outside property named Cottage On The Hill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Plaxdale Green Road, Stansted Hill, Vigo Road, A227 Gravesend Road, A20 London Road, Labour In Vain Road, Plaxdale Green Road and vice versa.
Sandy Lane, Ivy Hatch, TN15 0PE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow meter replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandy Lane, Ivy Hatch, on or after 19th January 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Beech Tree Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Coach Road, Copt Hall Road, Common Road, Sandy Lane and vice versa.
St Vincents Lane, Addington (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Vincents Lane, Addington, on or after 22nd January 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside property named Southfields to outside property named Keepers. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via St Vincents Lane, A20 London Road, Trottiscliffe Road, Park Road, St Vincents Lane and vice versa.
Three Elm Lane, Golden Green, TN11 0AD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Three Elm Lane, Golden Green, on or after 9th January 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with A26 Hadlow Road East and Blackmans Lane, between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Three Elm Lane, Victoria Road, Court Lane, A26 High Street, A26 The Square, A26 Tonbridge Road, A26 Hadlow Road East and vice versa.
Tonbridge Road & Three Elm Lane, Golden Green, TN12 5JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Tonbridge Road & Three Elm Lane, Golden Green, on or after 11th January 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Addlestead Road, for a distance approximately 1900 metres in a West direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tonbridge Road, Hatches Lane, Chidley Cross Road, Pound Road, Old Road, Hale Street, Maidstone Road, A228 Maidstone Road Roundabout, A228 Seven Mile Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, A26 Maidstone Road, A26 High Street, A26 The Square, A26 High Street, A26 Tonbridge Road, A26 Hadlow Road East, Three Elm Lane and vice versa.
Tumblefield Road, Stansted, TN15 7PR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tumblefield Road, Stansted, on or after 20th January 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Stone Rede to outside Ruskins. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tumblefield Road, Plaxdale Green Road, Stansted Hill, Vigo Road, Platt House Lane, Wrotham Hill Road, Tumblefield Road and vice versa.
