Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
A20 London Road, A20 Terrace Road & B2246 Hermitage Lane, Maidstone, ME16 0DZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF WEIGHT RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of A20 London Road & A20 Terrace Road, Maidstone, on or after 21st January 2026 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed. The weight restriction on B2246 Hermitage Lane will be temporarily suspended to allow for diversion.
A20 London Road will be closed between A20 Terrace Road and Bower Mount Road, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
A20 Terrace Road will be closed in its entirety, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The weight restriction on B2246 Hermitage Lane will be temporarily suspended, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only, to allow for diversion.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 London Road, B2246 Hermitage Lane, B2246 Fountain Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.
A229 Linton Hill, Linton (TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow a new electric connection to be installed, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily impose a 30mph speed limit on through traffic on part of A229 Linton Hill, Linton, on or after 8th January 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will have a temporary 30 MPH speed limit imposed approximately 150 metres North of the junction with Stilebridge Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
B2163 Heath Road, Boughton Monchelsea, ME17 4JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2163 Heath Road, Boughton Monchelsea, on or after 19th January 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of 3 Marlpit Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Heath Road, Linton Road, Loose Road, Sutton Road, Plough Wents Road and vice versa.
Back Lane, Boughton Monchelsea, ME17 4JJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Back Lane, Boughton Monchelsea, on or after 6th January 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Park Lane, for a distance approximately 623 metres to the junction with Wierton Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wierton Road, B2163 Heath Road, Park Lane and vice versa.
Battle Lane, Marden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow frame and cover repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Battle Lane, Marden, on or after 20th January 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Little Wanshurst. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Battle Lane, B2079 Maidstone Road, Howland Road, Battle Lane and vice versa.
Bell Lane, Staplehurst, TN12 0AF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow for water asset repair works to be carried out on A229 High Street, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bell Lane, Staplehurst, on or after 8th January 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with A229 High Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bell Lane, South Bank, Church Green, A229 High Street and vice versa.
Chart Hill Road, Chart Sutton, ME17 3HB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chart Hill Road, Chart Sutton, on or after 5th January 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the entrance to Noons Farm, for a distance approximately 100 metres in a North direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chart Hill Road, Warmlake Road, Chart Corner, B2163 Plough Wents Road, B2163 Heath Road, A229 Linton Hill, A229 Staplehurst Road, Chart Hill Road and vice versa.
Chartway Street, Sutton Valence, ME17 3JD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow carriageway repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chartway Street, Sutton Valence, on or after 19th January 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

Coldbridge Lane, Grafty Green, ME17 2AS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coldbridge Lane, Grafty Green, on or after 5th January 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Danbys Oast. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Coldbridge Lane, Lenham Road, Woodcock Lane, Coldbridge Lane and vice versa.
Crumps Lane, Grafty Green, ME17 1EX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Crumps Lane, Grafty Green, on or after 7th January 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside St Anthony to outside Kingsnoad. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crumps Lane, Ulcombe Road, Lenham Road, Crumps Lane and vice versa.
Dean Street, East Farleigh, ME15 0HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dean Street, East Farleigh, on or after 6th January 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Dean Cottage, for a distance approximately 100 metres in a North direction to outside White Lion. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dean Street, B2010 Lower Road, B2163 Ewell Lane, B2163 Heath Road, Dean Street and vice versa.
Faversham Road, Lenham, ME17 2QD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Faversham Road, Lenham, on or after 5th January 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Old Ashford Road, for a distance approximately 120 metres in a North direction, between the hours of 21:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Faversham Road, A20 Ashford Road, Old Ashford Road and vice versa.
Grecian Street, Maidstone, ME14 2TR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new water service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grecian Street, Maidstone, on or after 21st January 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between property numbers 14 and 26. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Green Lane, Collier Street, TN12 9RB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new stopcock and water meter installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Green Lane, Collier Street, on or after 19th January 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Brook Bungalow. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Green Lane, Hunton Road, East Street, West Street, Vicarage Road, B2010 High Street, B2162 Benover Road, B2162 Collier Street, Green Lane and vice versa.
Grigg Lane, Headcorn, TN27 9LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow stopcock repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grigg Lane, Headcorn, on or after 21st January 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Grigg Oasts. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow stopcock meter replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hawkenbury Road, Staplehurst, on or after 19th January 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Little Newstead Barn. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Headcorn Road, Sandway, on or after 5th January 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Blackberry Acre. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Livesey Street, Teston, ME18 5AY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water asset location works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Livesey Street, Teston, on or after 7th January 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of North Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Pilgrims Way, Thurnham, ME14 3LL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Thurnham, on or after 19th January 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Thurnham Lane, for a distance approximately 1000 metres in an East direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Roseacre Lane, Bearsted, on or after 19th January 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside property number 52 to outside property number 64. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
