What is happening?

(Worthing: Teville Road) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Teville Road in Worthing, from its junction with South Farm Road, eastwards to its junction with Broadwater Road.
The road closure is needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety.
The Order will come into effect on 12 January 2026 and remain in force until 17 April 2026, during which time the affected length of road will be closed in phases as works progress. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Arundel: Mill Road) (Temporary Parking Suspension) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily suspend the operation of the existing parking bay on the south-eastern side of Mill Road in Arundel, from 20M north-east of Queen Street, north-eastwards for 30M.
This suspension of parking is needed to accommodate a safety hoarding installed around the Blackfriars Ruin.
The Order continues the effect of an emergency parking suspension issued by Arun District
Council and will come into effect on will come into effect on 22 December 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until works to stabilise the ruin are completed, whichever is earlier.

(Littlehampton and Poling: Public Footpath 3096) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State has granted an extension to the operative period of the above named Temporary Traffic Regulation Order, currently in place to temporarily close Public Footpath 3096 in the parishes of Littlehampton and Poling from its junction with Toddington Lane northwards to its junction with Public Footpath 2163.
The original Order was made to protect public safety while a property development is constructed on the land through which the route runs.
The extended Order will now remain in force until 13 December 2026 or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
Unfortunately, during the operative period of this Order, no alternative route is available via the public rights of way network.

(Worthing: Nutbourne Road) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Nutbourne Road in Worthing from its junction with Shermanbury Road, southwards to its junction with Bulkington Avenue.
The road closure is needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety.
The Order will come into effect on 5 January 2026 and remain in force until 13 February 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Worthing: Selden Road) (Temporary Parking Suspension) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit the use of the parking bays on the western side of Selden Road in Worthing, from its junction with Brighton Road, northwards for 35M.
The suspension of these parking bays is needed to accommodate the installation of temporary hoarding while repairs are made to the cladding of an adjacent building.
The Order will come into effect on 1 January 2026 and remain in force until 17 September 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

(Yapton: Maypole Lane) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Maypole Lane in Yapton throughout its entire length.
The road closure is needed to allow a leaking water main to be repaired in safety.
The Order will come into effect on 5 January 2026 and remain in force until 2 February 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Yapton: Yapton Road/Bilsham Road B2132) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close roads in Yapton as follows:
Yapton Road/Bilsham Road B2132: from the A259 (Comet Corner) northwards to Burndell Road from 5 January 2026 to 15 May 2026
Yapton Road B2132: from the A259 (Comet Corner) southwards to Silver Birch Drive from 20 April 2026 to 5 June 2026
These road closures are needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety.
The Order will come into effect on 5 January 2026 and remain in force as described above. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
