TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

SECTION 16A

PENSBY ROAD HESWALL FILMING SPECIAL EVENT ORDER 2028

Whereas Wirral Borough Council are satisfied that the use of the roads listed below should be restricted to facilitate the above special event and to enable it to take place safely.

NOW THEREFORE the Council in exercise of its powers under s16A of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended and of all other enabling powers having satisfied itself that it is not reasonably practicable for the event to be held without being on this road intends to make an Order in the following terms:

No person shall cause any vehicle to enter or proceed along the length of roads listed below:

Pensby Road, Heswall from its junction with Telegraph Road to its junction with May Road.

Alternative routes for diverted vehicular traffic will be signed accordingly. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.

The Order will not prevent reasonable access at any time for pedestrians to premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which this Order relates nor any premises accessible only to pedestrians from such a road.

This Order will be known as the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral Pensby Road Heswall Filming Special Event Order 2026 and shall come into operation on 9 January 2026 and apply from 19:00 pm to 22:00 on the 10 January on those days only.

SECTION 14 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED)

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER

IN THE NEW FERRY AREA 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council intend to make a Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable works on or near the roads specified in the proposed order to take place.

The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.

Woodhead Street (Temporary Prohibition)

New Ferry Order 2026

The effect of this order will be to close Woodhead Street, New Ferry at its junction with New Chester Road to a point which it meets the rear of 13 and 15 Bebington Road. In addition, the existing one-way restriction between 13 and 15 Bebington Road to be revoked.

The order will not prevent access to the rear of the properties of Bebington Road from where Woodhead Street meets Bebington Road.

Maximum Duration of the order: From 12 January 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway.
