Tollertone - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving To Gas Mains Replacement Works

What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(TOLLERTON GAS MAIN REPLACEMENT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (R26-015)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Tollerton in the Borough of Rushcliffe.

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:

a. Tollerton Lane, Tollerton - From its junction with A606 for 20 metres in a north easterly direction.

b. Stanstead Avenue, Tollerton - From its junction with A606 for 20 metres in a north direction.

c. Bentinck Avenue, Tollerton - From its junction with A606 for 20 metres in a north direction.

d. Lenton Avenue, Tollerton - From its junction with A606 for 20 metres in a north direction.

2. The Alternative route will be as follows: Burnside grove - Tollerton Lane - Cotgrave Lane - Cotgrave Road - A606 Melton Road and Vice Versa.

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:

From 07:00, Monday, 05 January 2026
Until 18:00 Friday, 30 January 2026 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

a. No diversion routes available

The Order will come into force on Monday, 05 January 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Cadent Gas to carry out Gas main replacement.
