What is happening?
NOTICE OF EXTENSION OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14
FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 18 IN THE COMMUNITY OF
CONNAH'S QUAY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2024
The above Order came into force from the 5th July 2024 for a period of 6 months, until and including 5th January 2025, the order has since been extended with the approval of the Welsh Government until and including 4th January 2026.
Notice is now hereby given that the said Order made by Flintshire County Council on the 5th July 2024 is extended with the approval of the Welsh Government and will continue in force until and including 4th July 2026, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
The effect of the Order is that no person shall proceed in using that
section of Public Footpath No.18 in the Community of Connah's Quay
from a point next to No. 20 Highmere Drive at NGR 32822 36947 to
its junction with Golftyn Lane at NGR 32809 36963.
The reason for the continued closure is due to Health and Safety
during construction of a new development.
The Developer will provide an alternative route through the
development site from a point on Highmere Drive opposite No.37,
through to Golftyn Lane.

Daeth y Gorchymyn uchod i rym ar 5 Gorffennaf 2024 am gyfnod o 6 mis, hyd at 5 lonawr 2025, gan gynnwys y dyddiad hwnnw, ac mae'r Gorchymyn wedi'i ymestyn gyda chymeradwyaeth Llywodraeth Cymru hyd 4 lonawr 2026, gan gynnwys y dyddiad hwnnw. Rhoddir rhybudd drwy hyn bod y Gorchymyn uchod a wnaed gan Gyngor Sir y Fflint ar 5 Gorffennaf 2024 wedi'i ymestyn gyda chymeradwyaeth Llywodraeth Cymru a bydd yn dal mewn grym tan 4 Gorffennaf 2026, gan gynnwys y dyddiad hwnnw, neu nes y cwblheir y gwaith, pa bynnag un sydd gyntaf.
Effaith y Gorchymyn yw atal neb rhag tramwyo ar y rhan honno o Lwybr Cyhoeddus 18 yng Nghymuned Cei Connah sy'n mynd o bwynt wrth ymyl 20 Highmere Drive yng nghyfeirnod grid 32822 36947 at y gyflordd a Lon Golftyn yng nghyfeirnod grid 32809 36963. Mae'n rhaid cau'rllwybr am resymau lechyd a Diogelwch wrth adeiladu datblygiad newydd.
Fe wnaiff y Datblygwr ddarparu llwybr amgen drwy'r safle datblygu o bwynt ar Highmere Drive gyferbyn a rhif 37 hyd at Lon Golftyn. 2055188
