NOTICE is hereby given that on 10 December 2025 South Gloucestershire District Council made an order under sections 82(2), 83(2) and 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which is to prohibit the driving of motor vehicles at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour in the lengths of Balmoral Road, Ellacombe Road, Larksleaze Road, Pearsall Road, Sandringham Road, Stanhope Road, William Close and Windsor Road, Longwell Green. The order will come into operation on 18 December 2025 and a copy thereof together with a map and a copy of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the order, may be inspected at Kingswood One Stop Shop, Kingswood Civic Centre, Kingswood during normal opening hours.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to:- a) close, temporarily, to vehicles, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; and b) suspend, temporarily, when the signs are covered, the County Council of Avon (Bowstreet Lane and Berwick Lane, Parish of Almondsbury) (Weight Restriction) (Variation No.1) Order 1984 in so far as it relates to the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice to facilitate the alternative route for heavy vehicles. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon carriageway patching works. The order will be operative from 12 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restrictions however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration, between 7pm and 6am, in respect of each location. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon utility installation works on or adjacent to the highway. NOTICE is hereby given that on 10 December 2025 South Gloucestershire District Council made an order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(1) and 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which is to protect areas marked with school entrance markings in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 in lengths of Christchurch Avenue and Church View, Downend in the vicinity of Christ Church C of E Infant School by prohibiting any person stopping during the restricted hours which will be the hours shown on traffic signs placed at that location. Exemptions in the order permit any vehicle to wait for the purpose of boarding or alighting; loading or unloading goods; Post Office services; maintenance of the road; supply of gas, water or electricity; the pursuance of statutory powers or duties. The order will come into operation on 19 December 2025 and a copy thereof together with a map and a copy of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the order, may be inspected at Kingswood One Stop Shop, Kingswood Civic Centre, Kingswood during normal opening hours. Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

NOTICE is hereby given that on 10 December 2025 South Gloucestershire District Council made an order under sections 84(1) and (2) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which is to: a) prohibit the driving of motor vehicles at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour in lengths of A38 Gloucester Road and Church Road, Rudgeway; b) prohibit the driving of motor vehicles at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour in lengths of A38 Gloucester Road; c) prohibit the driving of motor vehicles at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour in lengths of A38 Gloucester Road; d) vary the South Gloucestershire Council (Various Roads, Almondsbury and Over Area) (Restricted Roads) (40 mph Speed Limit) Order 1999 in favour of the provisions specified in item a) and item b) above; e) vary the South Gloucestershire Council (A38 Gloucester Road – Almondsbury to Alveston, Hortham Lane and Woodlands Lane) (40 mph Speed Limit) (Restricted Roads) Order 2004 in favour of the provisions specified in item a) and item b) above; f) vary the South Gloucestershire Council (Various Roads, Rudgeway to Latteridge) (40 mph Speed Limit) (50 mph Speed Limit) Order 2009 in favour of the provisions specified in item a) above; and g) vary the South Gloucestershire Council (Various Roads, Thornbury Area – A38/Grovesend Road Junction Improvement) (Restricted Roads) (40 mph Speed Limit) (50 mph Speed Limit) Order 2002 in favour of the provisions specified in item b) above. The order will come into operation on 19 December 2025 and a copy thereof together with a map, copies of any orders to be varied/revoked and a copy of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the order, may be inspected at Patchway One Stop Shop, The Patchway Hub, Rodway Road, Patchway and at Yate One Stop Shop, Kennedy Way, Yate during normal opening hours.

NOTICE is hereby given that on 10 December 2025 South Gloucestershire District Council made an order under sections 84(1) and (2) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which is to: a) prohibit the driving of motor vehicles at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour in lengths of A4174 Avon Ring Road, Stoke Gifford to Bromley Heath; b) prohibit the driving of motor vehicles at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour in lengths of A4174 Avon Ring Road, Stoke Gifford to Bromley Heath; and c) vary the South Gloucestershire Council (Various Roads including the A4174 Avon Ring Road, Filton to Hanham) (30 mph Speed Limit) (40 mph Speed Limit) (50 mph Speed Limit) (De-Restriction) Order 2008 in favour of the provisions specified in item a) and item b) above.
