Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Junction Road, Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Trowbridge Road to its junction with Frome Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footway resurfacing and associated works.

Alternative route via A363 – Moulton Drive – B3108 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 January 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 18:00 and 23:59 for 2 days. For further information please contact M Group on behalf of Wiltshire Council on 07743 978181.

B) B3098 (Part), Coulston; from its junction with Coulston Hollow for a distance of approximately 240m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route for high sided vehicles via B3098 (unaffected length) – C40 – A360 – A361 – A350 – Bitham Park – B3098 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Alternative route for all other vehicles via B3098 (unaffected length) – A360 – A361 – A350 – Bitham Park – B3098 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 07 January 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 1 day. C) C254 (Part), Cheverell Magna; from its junction with C40 to its property known as No.58 The Green to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out bridge and associated works.

Alternative route via C254 (unaffected length) – C20 – A360 – C40 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 January 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 for 1 day. For further information please contact Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.

D) Dunch Lane (Part), Melksham; from its junction with Southbrook Road to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out hazardous tree removal and associated works.

Alternative route via Dunch Lane (unaffected length) – A365 – A350 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 January 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 – 16:00 for 1 day. E) B3353 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Monks Lane to its property known as No.47 Valley Road to enable Openreach to carry out civils works and other associated works.

This Order will come into operation on 06 January 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. F) Church Walk (Part), Melksham; from its junction with Canon Square for a distance of approximately 20m in a northerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out clearance of blockages and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 15 January 2026 at 09:00 until 18:00 and the closure will then be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 until 07 January 2026. G) A361 Southbound Carriageway (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Longfield Road West to its junction with Dursley Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out gyratory scheme and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 15 January 2026 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day until 16 January 2026. H) C155 (Part), Lacock; from its junction with Bewley Lane for a distance of approximately 80m in an easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out access to overhead network for new customer service and associated works.

Alternative route via C155 (unaffected length) – Hither Way – C150 – A350 – A4 – A342 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 December 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. I) Stormore (Part), Dilton Marsh; from its property known as No.09 Stormore to its property known as No.03d Stormore to enable Openreach to carry out ducting and associated works.

Alternative route via Stormore (unaffected length) – Clearwood – B3099 – Stormore (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 December 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 3 days. J) B3098 (Part), Bratton; from its property known as No.28 Westbury Road to its property known as No.6 Melvin Close to enable Openreach to carry out ducting and associated works.

Alternative route for all other vehicles via B3098 (unaffected length) – A360 – A361 – A350 – Bitham Park – B3098 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 December 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. K) Grovelands Way (Part), Warminster; from its junction with Victoria Road to its property known as No.53 Grovelands Way to enable Wessex Water to carry out civils and associated works.

Alternative route via Grovelands (unaffected length) – Victoria Street – West Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 December 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 2 days. Orders A) to K) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
