What is happening?

THE BASSETLAW DISTRICT COUNCIL
(CIVIL ENFORCEMENT OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES)
ORDER 2026

NOTICE OF PROPOSALS

Bassetlaw District Council (“the Council”) intends to make the above Order (“the Proposed Order”) under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 as amended and all other enabling powers.

The Proposed Order relates to existing off-street parking places and proposed new parking places provided by the Council at the locations listed in the Schedule of Parking Places and Charges below and is intended to come into operation on 1 April 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter)

The Council intend to revoke Bassetlaw District Council (Civil Enforcement Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2024, in its entirety and implement the proposed new order.

The proposed new Order will give the Council the opportunity to:

1. add new parking places
2. vary the fees and charges
3. revoke and amend the conditions and use of some existing parking places
and to amend the parking charges, in accordance with the attached Schedule of Parking Places and Charges.

Any person may object or make representations relating to the making of the
proposed Order by 18 January 2026. Comments, objections and representations must be made in writing, stating the grounds on which they are made and must be sent to Legal Services Department at Bassetlaw District Council Queen’s Buildings, Potter Street, Worksop S80 2AH or by email to
