What is happening?

Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure
Regulations 1992 (SI 1992/1215)
JOHNSON STREET (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, WAITING AND LOADING) ORDER 2026 (“the Order”)
1. Sheffield City Council makes the Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 over an area of the highway named Johnson Street from Nursery Lane to Nursery Street.
2. The Order is needed because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said highway.
3. The Order will come into operation on 8 January 2026 and shall remain in force until the aforementioned works are completed as Sheffield City Council is satisfied that the execution of the works will take longer than 18 months. The restriction specified will only have effect at such times and to such extent as indicated by the display of notices.
4. While the Order is in operation: it will prohibit any person from allowing any vehicle to proceed in a south bound direction in the area listed in paragraph 1 to this Order thus permitting traffic to temporarily flow in a one way system in a north bound direction only.
5. Access to adjacent properties will be maintained at all times.
