TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY
THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to
make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or proposed to
be executed on or near the road/roundabout and the effect will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length of
Barnsley Road A1m Roundabout at Marr in the City of Doncaster
District as described in the Schedule to this notice on the dates
and times referred to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst works to bridge survey works are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is as described in the Schedule to this
notice.

The Proposed Order will continue in force up to and including
the 30th day of April 2026 or until the works which it is proposed
to carry out in or near the said road/roundabout have been

SCHEDULE
Location
The South West and South East Quadrants of Barnsley Road
A1m Roundabout, Marr - between the A1(M) Southbound Entry
Slip Road to the A1(M) Northbound Exit Slip Road at junction 37.
Dates and Times
1) Installation to commence 20:00hrs 16th January 2026 until
06:00hrs 22nd January 2026
2) Removal to commence 20:00hrs 16th February 2026 until
06:00hrs 19th February 2026
Night time closures only. The road will reopen daily. In the event
of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather conditions, the
closure may extend beyond this date although all closures to be
completed by the 30th April 2026
Diversion Routes
a) Non Motorway traffic diversion: Barnsley Road, York Road,
Green Lane, Church Lane, Barnsley Road (St Marys
Roundabout) and vice versa
b) Motorway traffic diversion: A1 South to junction 36 then return
around the roundabout onto the A1(M) North to junction 37.

Notice is hereby given that on the 17th day of December 2025
the City of Doncaster Council made an Order under the
provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The effect of the Order that will come into operation on the 6th
day of January 2026 will be to introduce a no waiting at any time
restriction on the following lengths of road:-
Lyndale Avenue, Edenthorpe
Both sides
(i) From its junction with the eastern kerb line of Thorne Road
for a distance of 15 metres in a south easterly direction
Thorne Road, Edenthorpe
East side
(i) From a point 19 metres north east of its junction with the
northern kerb line of Lyndale Avenue for a distance of 40 metres
in a south westerly direction
Exceptions to the Order will permit waiting for the purpose of
picking up and setting down passengers, loading and unloading
goods, in connection with building industrial or demolition
operations, the removal of obstructions to traffic, the
maintenance of the roads and the services therein in pursuance
of statutory powers or duties, for the collection and delivery of
postal packets or if it is a vehicle being operated by or on behalf
of the South Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnerships while
carrying out roadside monitoring or enforcement operations. The
usual exceptions for disabled persons vehicles are also included
in the Order

Notice is hereby given that on the 17th day of December 2025
the City of Doncaster Council made an Order under the
provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The effect of the Order that will come into operation on the 6th
day of January 2026 will introduce a No waiting at any time
restriction on the following lengths of road:-
Barnsley Road, Scawsby
South side
(i) From a point 14 metres east of its junction with the eastern
kerb line of Kenilworth Close for a distance of 30 metres in a
westerly direction

PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 3 ADWICK LE STREET (PART)
EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2025
On the 17th December 2025, City of Doncaster Council
confirmed the above order made under section 118 of the
Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to extinguish the public
footpath (1) running from Chestnut Avenue at its boundary with
number 22 at grid reference SE 5398 1002 and proceeding
north-eastwards for some 64 metres to Trafalgar Way at grid
reference SE 5402 1006; (2) running from the footpath off
Patterdale Close at grid reference SE 5417 1022 and
proceeding in a generally north-easterly direction for some 49
metres to the footpath at grid reference SE 5419 1025; (3)
running from Grasmere Road at grid reference SE 5422 1029
and proceeding north-eastwards for some 44 metres to
Borrowdale Close at its boundary with number 9 at grid
reference SE 5425 1031, as shown on the order map.
A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been
placed and may be seen free of charge at City of Doncaster
Council, Civic Office, Waterdale, Doncaster, DN1 3BU, from 9.00
a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the order and

The order comes into force on 17th December 2025, but if a
person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or
that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not
within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on
the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of
any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in
relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of
Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6
to the Act, within six weeks from 18th December 2025, make an

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER 2025
THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY
THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council have
made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991 because of the likelihood of danger to the
public, or of serious damage to the public footpath and the effect
will be to prohibit all traffic from proceeding in that length of
Public Footpath Number 21 Fishlake in the City of Doncaster
District as described in the Schedule from the 24th December
2025.
Reason for closure: To safeguard the public following the
collapse of the path around the outfall pipe due to erosion,
making the path unsafe for users.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for pedestrians
affected is along the top of the main flood embankment.

THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY
THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council have
made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or proposed to
be executed on or near the Trans Pennine trail and the effect will
be to prohibit any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding in that
length of the Trans Pennine Trail Mexborough in the City of
Doncaster District as described in the Schedule to this notice
from the 5th January 2026.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce to allow the bridge deck to be repaired.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for pedestrians/
cyclists affected by the Order is via Kilners Bridge, Doncaster
Road, and Pastures Road and vice versa.

TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
EXTENSION NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the above named Order made by City
of Doncaster Council on the 27th day of March 2025 which
came into force on the 6th day of April 2025 and extended until
the 5th Day of January 2026 has been continued in force with
the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport under section
15(3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the
Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 up to and
including the 28th day of February 2026. The Order would
otherwise have expired on the 5th day of October 2025.
The Order was made to ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce to allow the bridge deck to be repaired
Reason for the extension of the temporary order is that the
intention is still to replace the decking on the bridge. There have
been further issues with obtaining the required permits which
have now been resolved. The plan is now for work to commence
on site in January 2026 and should be completed by the end of
February 2026.
NOTICE is also given that there is no alternative route for
equestrians affected by the Order.
The Order will continue in force up to and including the 28th day
of February 2026 or until the works which it is proposed to carry
out in the said Trans Pennine Trail have been completed,
whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within the
time stated the Order may be further extended with the approval
