Springfield Avenue, Bridlington - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
SPRINGFIELD AVENUE, BRIDLINGTON
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding along
the entire length of Springfield Avenue, Bridlington
commencing 15 January 2026 until 25 February
2026. The reason for the closure is to enable the
proposed Springfield Avenue, Bridlington installation of
HV and LV cables along with Yorkshire Water drainage
system works, to be carried out and completed in
a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the
public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed within
42 days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the
Order is via Eastbound - B1423 Quay Road, Prospect
Street and Manor Street, B1254 Bridge Street, B1254
Hilderthorpe Road, Beck Hill and Westbound - B1423
Quay Road, B1423 Quay Road Roundabout, Station
Avenue and Station Road and B1254 Hilderthorpe
Road, Bridlington CP, Bridlington South Ward.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but access
will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and
pedestrians. The Order will commence 15 January
2026 and continue in force for a period not exceeding
eighteen months or until the works which it is
proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever
is the earlier. Further information can be obtained from
