Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 18th December 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 16th December 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (GRAFTON STREET A5 TO V4, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2314)
The effect of the above-named Order will be temporarily close the northbound carriageway of V6 Grafton Street from its junction with A5 to its junction with V4 Watling Street to enable Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure Limited to carry out telecoms works.
The temporary road closure will take effect from 4th to 21st January 2026, between the hours of 10pm and 6pm each night.
Whilst the above closure is in place the alternative route will be via Bletcham Way, Saxon Street and Groveway.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SAXON STREET (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2305)
The effect of the above-named Order will be temporarily close Saxon Street, Bletchley from its junction with Watling Street to its junction with Princes Way to enable Network Rail to undertake Vegetation Management and Surveys.
The temporary road closure will take effect from 12th to 18th January 2026 (24 hours a day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Standing Way and Buckingham Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (DRAYTON ROAD (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2304)
The effect of the above-named Order will be temporarily close Drayton Road, Bletchley from its junction with Lomond Drive to its junction with Fern Grove to enable CityFibre to undertake ducting works in the carriageway.
The temporary road closure will take effect from 5th to 9th January 2026 (24 hours a day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via A4146 and Stoke Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS TONGWELL, LITTLE CRAWLEY, CALVERTON AND WALTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2268)
The effect of the above-named Order will be temporarily close the following lengths of roads to enable Anglian Water to undertake maintenance works within the carriageway:
Simpson Road Walton outside Number 1
The temporary road closure will take effect from 12th to 16th January 2026, between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm each day.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Simpson Road, Simpson Drive, Groveway, Brickhill Street, Chase Avenue (and vice versa)
Calverton Lane, Lower Weald Calverton outside Rectory Farm
The temporary road closure will take effect on 8th January 2026, between the hours of 12:00pm and 4:00pm.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Calverton Road, Horsefair Green, High Street, Queen Eleanor Street, Watling Street (and vice versa).
Gog Lane Little Crawley outside Uplands
The temporary road closure will take effect from 12th to 14th January 2026 (24 hours each day).
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Gog Lane, Chicheley Road, A422.
Delaware Drive Tongwell at its junction with Brickhill Street
The temporary road closure will take effect from 12th to 20th January 2026 (24 hours each day).
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Brickhill Street, Dansteed Way and Delaware Drive (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BOW BRICKHILL TO LITTLE BRICKHILL ROAD (PART), LITTLE BRICKHILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2294)
The effect of the above-named Order will be temporarily close Little Brickhill Road, Little Brickhill from its junction with the southbound slip road so the A5 to its junction with Watling Street to enable National Highways to undertake bridge repair works at A5 junction.
The temporary road closure will take effect from 12th to 17th January 2026, between the hours of 20:00pm and 06:00am each night.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Watling Street and A5 or Watling Street, Brickhill Road, Station Road and Church Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SIMPSON ROAD (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2284)
The effect of the above-named Order will be temporarily close Simpson Road, Bletchley from its junction with Bristow Close to its junction with Lock View Lane to enable Network Rail to undertake maintenance, and repair works at the level crossing.
The temporary road closure will take effect from 10th to 12th January 2026, between the hours of 21:00pm and 06:00am each night.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Watling Street, Bilton Road and Staple Hall Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WINDMILL HILL DRIVE, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2228)
The effect of the above-named Order will be temporarily close Windmill Hill Drive, Bletchley from its junction with Birkdale Close to its junction with Ashridge Close to enable SGN to undertake gas installation works in the carriageway.
The temporary road closure will take effect from 5th to 13th January 2026 (24 hours each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed, there will be no alternative route. Windmill Hill Drive, Buckingham Road and Whaddon Way (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (HIGH STREET (PART), STONY STRATFORD – VINTAGE STONY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2270)
The effect of the Order is to temporarily close High Street, Stony Stratford between its junctions with Church Street, and Wolverton Road to enable the annual Vintage Stony event.
The temporary Order will come into operation on 1st January 2026 at 8.00am and will remain in effect until 2.00pm on 1st January 2026.
The alternative route for traffic will be via Church Street, Silver Street and Horsefair Green (and vice versa).
Pedestrian access to adjacent properties and premises shall be maintained throughout the closure. There shall be no exemptions from the provisions of the order other than for emergency services vehicles and military vehicles.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (RAMSAY CLOSE BRADWELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2247)
The effect of the above-named Order will be temporarily close Ramsay Close Bradwell outside Number 27 to enable Openreach to carry out installation of Ducting.
The temporary road closure will take effect on 5th and 6th January 2026 (24 hours each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed access will be maintained.

Public Notices for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 18th December 2025:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SAXON STREET, BLETCHLEY) (50 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025 (Reference TRO-464)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 16th December 2025 made the above Traffic Regulation Order, under Sections 1(1) and 2(1) to (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above-mentioned Order will be to introduce a 50mph Speed Restriction along that part of V7 Saxon Street, between its junction with Watling Street and its junction with Princes Way (as proposed on 30th October 2025).
The made Order will take effect on 19th December 2025.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (THE UNNAMMED ROAD PARALLEL TO A421 STANDING WAY) (PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES) ORDER 2026 (Reference TRO-470)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1) and 2(1) to (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to amend the existing prohibition of motor vehicles restriction on the unnamed road that runs parallel to A421 Standing Way, between Whaddon Road and B4034 Buckingham Road to enable a new access road for the ‘Salden Place’ development.
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at:

Any representations or objections to the proposal, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order Team at Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ, or by email to
quoting reference TRO-470 and to be received no later than 8th January 2026. Any representations received will be taken into consideration before the implementation of the scheme.
