What is happening?
THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL
(TRAFFIC REGULATION; RESTRICTIONS ON WAITING,
LOADING AND UNLOADING AND BUS LANES: WEST AREA) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025 - TRO/21/30D
The Council on 10/12/25 made the above Order, which will come into operation on 17/12/25. The effect is as stated in The Scotsman dated 07/06/24 (TRO/21/30A), with changes as approved by Committee: (1) Replace 24 hr loading prohibitions with peak time loading prohibitions on Buckingham Ter, Orchard Toll and Queensferry Rd; (2) remove 24 hr waiting restrictions on Fowler Ter that were not active during the experiment; and (3) reduce the lengths of 24 hr waiting restrictions on Cammo Rd. Details of the made Order and related documents, including our privacy notice, can be viewed free of charge between 9:30 & 15:30 Mon-Fri from 12/12/25 to 06/02/26 at Calton Hub, Waverley Court, 4 East Market St, Edinburgh, EH8 8BG or online during the same period at www.edinburgh.gov.uk/trafficorders. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any relevant regulation has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may by 06/02/26, apply to the Court of Session for this purpose.
