Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
B2010 High Street, Yalding, ME18 6HS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2010 High Street, Yalding, on or after 12th January 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with B2162 Benover Road to the junction with Vicarage Road, between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Benover Road, B2162 Collier Street, Green Lane, Hunton Road, East Street, West Street, Vicarage Road, B2010 High Street and vice versa.
B2163 Ewell Lane, West Farleigh, ME15 0PE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2163 Ewell Lane, West Farleigh, on or after 12th January 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 1 Ewell Manor Cottages, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2163 Ewell Lane, B2163 Heath Road, Dean Street, B2010 Lower Road and vice versa.
Albion Road, Marden, TN12 9DU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow jetting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Albion Road, Marden, on or after 15th January 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with Howland Road and the junction with Stanley Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Howland Road, B2079 High Street, B2079 Church Green, B2079 West End, B2079 Goudhurst Road, Plain Road, Albion Road and vice versa.
Chegworth Lane, Harrietsham, ME17 1DD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow drainage and root cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chegworth Lane, Harrietsham, on or after 15th January 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in its entirety from the junction with Chegworth Road, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Cripple Street & Teasaucer Hill, Loose, ME15 6DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cripple Street & Teasaucer Hill, Loose, on or after 2nd January 2026 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Bockingford Court. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Cripple Street, A229 Loose Road, A229 Sheals Crescent, Old Tovil Road, B2010 Tovil Road, B2010 Tovil Hill, Straw Mill Hill, Cave Hill, Hayle Mill Road and Teasaucer Hill.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Teasaucer Hill, Hayle Mill Road, Cave Hill, Stockett Lane, Busbridge Road, High Banks, Old loose Hill, A229 Linton Road, A229 Loose Road and Cripple Street.
Farleigh Bridge, East Farleigh, ME16 9NB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Farleigh Bridge, East Farleigh, on or after 13th January 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 20 metres either side of East Farleigh Level Crossing, between the hours of 23:30 and 04:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Farleigh Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, A20 Terrace Road, A20 London Road, A20 The Broadway, A229 St Peters Bridge, A229 Fairmeadow, A229 Bishops Way, A229 Palace Avenue, A229 Lower Stone Street, A229 Upper Stone Street, A229 Sheals Crescent, Old Tovil Road, B2010 Tovil Road, B2010 Tovil Hill, B2010 Farleigh Hill, B2010 Dean Street, B2010 Lower Road and Station Hill.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Station Hill, B2010 Lower Road, B2010 Dean Street, B2010 Farleigh Hill, B2010 Tovil Hill, B2010 Tovil Road, Old Tovil Road, A229 Hayle Road, A229 College Road, A229 Mill Street, A229 Bishops Way, A20 The Broadway, A26 Tonbridge Road and Farleigh Lane.
Forge Lane, Bredhurst, ME7 3JY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow stop tap replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Forge Lane, Bredhurst, on or after 12th January 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Chapel Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Forge Lane, Dunn Street Road, Dunn Street, Lidsing Road, Forge Lane and vice versa.
Gravelly Ways, Beltring (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow vegetation clearance to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gravelly Ways, Beltring, on or after 18th January 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 20 metres either side of Beltring Level Crossing, between the hours of 06:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gravelly Ways, Lees Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane, B2015 Maidstone Road, Maidstone Road Roundabout, A228 Hale Street By Pass, Branbridges Ind Est Roundabout, A228 Branbridges Road, Beltring Road, Gravelly Ways and vice versa.
Pilgrims Way, Thurnham, ME14 3LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow a new electric connection to be installed, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Thurnham, on or after 12th January 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Black Horse Inn. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pilgrims Way, Thurnham Lane, Ware Street, The Green, The Street, Roundwell, A20 Ashford Road, New Cut Road, Bearsted Road, Hockers Lane, The Street, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.
The Hedges & Hillary Road, Penenden Heath, ME14 2NZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water main works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of The Hedges & Hillary Road, Penenden Heath, on or after 12th January 2026 for up to 173 days or until the works have been completed.
The Hedges will be closed from the junction with Sandling Lane to Hillary Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Hillary Road will be closed from The Hedges to in the vicinity of property number 117. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandling Lane, Boxley Road, Hillary Road and vice versa.
Underlyn Lane, Marden, TN12 9AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water asset location works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Underlyn Lane, Marden, on or after 12th January 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Target Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Underlyn Lane, B2079 Maidstone Road, A229 Staplehurst Road, A229 Linton Hill, B2163 Heath Road, Upper Hunton Hill, Hunton Hill, East Street, Hunton Road, Green Lane, Underlyn Lane and vice versa.
Westfield Sole Road, Lidsing, ME14 3EH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Westfield Sole Road, Lidsing, on or after 12th January 2026 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 120 metres Northeast of Bredhurst Business Park. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Westfield Sole Road, Lidsing Road, Yelsted Lane, Boxley Road, Walderslade Woods Roundabout, Westfield Sole Road and vice versa.
