Cambridgeshire - Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures, Speed Restrictions, Footpath Closures, and Weight Limit Revocations due to utility works, maintenance, resurfacing, and safety improvements

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Cranfield Way, Buckden Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10001

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cranfield Way, Buckden as lies between Nos. 50 & 78. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate ducting & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 12/01/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 11/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12/1 & 19/1/26.

West End, Brampton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10005

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along West End, Brampton as lies between Nos. 2 & 14. The alternative route for vehicles is via West End; The Green C167; Bernard Rd; Gillies Rd; Miller Way D245 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 11/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 10/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00 & 18:00hrs 11/1/26.

Ramsey Road, Upwood Temporary 30mph Speed Limit – Order 2026-10014

Is to impose a 30mph speed limit along Ramsey Road, Upwood as lies between Canberra Road & De Havilland Gardens. The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate S278 & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5/1 & 30/1/26.

Silver Street, Godmanchester Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10022

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Silver Street, Godmanchester as lies between No. 40 & Play Area. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Order. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gully cutting & refreshing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/7/27 whichever is the earlier.

Hartford Road, Hartford Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10043

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Veasey Road, Hartford as lies between De Havilland Way & Falstaff Way. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water service works & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5/1 & 10/1/26.

Lucks Lane, Buckden Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10068

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Lucks Lane, Buckden as lies between Longhall Road & Cranfield Way. The alternative route for vehicles is via Lucks Ln, Buckden; Mayfield; High St; Church St; Mill Rd; Leadens Ln; Sittloe Ln; Lucks Ln & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 19/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19/1 & 21/1/26.

Bythorn Road, Covington Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10070

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Bythorn Rd, Covington as lies between Woodland House & Grange Farm. The alternative route for vehicles is via Bythorn Rd, Covington; Keyston Rd; Covington Rd; B645; B663; Covington Rd, Keyston & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sullie valve, chamber frame & cover replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 27/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 26/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 27/1 & 29/1/26.

Footpath From Constable Road To The Whistlers, St Ives Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2026-10113

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpath From Constable Road To The Whistlers, St Ives as lies between Constable Road & Footpath to The Whistlers. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecoms ducting & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/7/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5/1 & 6/1/26.

Footpath Between Howard Road & Ackerman Gardens, Eaton Socon Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2026-10129

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpath Between Howard Road & Ackerman Gardens, Eaton Socon as lies between Howard Road & Ackerman Gardens. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical supply & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 12/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 11/7/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12/1 & 30/1/26.

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Winwick Rd, Great Gidding as lies between Back Ln & Gidding Grove. The alternative route for vehicles is via B660; B1043; A1(M); A605; B662; B660 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway & sign repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 19/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19/1 & 21/1/26.

Grafham Road, Brampton & Brampton Road, Grafham

Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10165

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Grafham Road, Brampton & Brampton Road, Grafham as lies between Park Road & Van Diemens Way. The alternative route for vehicles is via Church Rd; Breach Rd; Grafham Rd, Ellington Thorpe; Grafham Rd, Ellington; High St C166; Thrapston Rd; Access Road to & From A14 Eastbound; A14; A141; B1514; Grove Ln, Brampton; High St; The Green C167; Park Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate traffic calming installation, passing places, tree planting & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 12/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 11/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12/1 & 18/1/26.

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Crown Place, St Ives as lies between East Street & Crown Street. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 05/01/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/07/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5/1/26 & 6/2/26.

Daintree Way, Hemingford Grey Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10191

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Daintree Way, Hemingford Grey as lies between No.8 & Old Pound Close. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5/1 & 6/1/26.

The Cross, Woodwalton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10192

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along The Cross, Woodwalton as lies between Beville & Electricity Distribution Site. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 19/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19/1 & 21/1/26.

Forty Foot Bank, Ramsey Forty Foot Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10193

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Forty Foot Bank, Ramsey Forty Foot as lies between Abbots Drove & B1096. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1096; Ibbersons Drove & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 19/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19/1 & 21/1/26.

Various Roads, West Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10159

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads, as set out in Schedule 1 below. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate drainage maintenance & associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 5/1/26 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 4/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule.

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads, as set out in Schedule 1 below. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate drainage maintenance & installation &; associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 18/1/26 &; will continue until these works have finished or on the 17/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule.

Schedule 1 – Road Closures

Various Roads, West Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic & Temporary Revocation of 7.5 Tonne Weight Limit – Order 2026-10163

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads, as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1 & 2. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate carriageway resurfacing & associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 12/1/26 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 11/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the schedule.

Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces in the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
