(EXCHANGE STREET, JEDBURGH) (TEMPORARY ONE-WAY) ORDER 2025

The Scottish Borders Council (Exchange Street, Jedburgh) (Temporary One-Way) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 17:00 on 15 December 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 24 December 2026. The Order is required in the interests of road/public safety to allow for essential building repairs.

When the Order comes into effect, in the interests of road/public safety, no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle in a northerly direction along Exchange Street, Jedburgh from the junction with Friarsgate to High Street.

The alternative route for westbound traffic is via High Street, Pleasance and Friarsgate to the point of closure. A map showing the restriction and alternative routes can be seen at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk. N MCKINLAY, Director of Corporate Governance
