The County of Cornwall (Gwinear Road, Connor Downs) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 8th December 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Connor Downs.
This prohibition is necessary for level crossing works and it is expected that the closure will be from 28th December 2025, for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0010 and 0800, weekends included. Road affected - Gwinear Road, Connor Downs for the entire length of the level crossing.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Praze An Beeble.
This prohibition is necessary for cabling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 11th January 2026, for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1400, weekends included
Road affected - Fore Street, Praze An Beeble between the junction of Kew An Gew and School Road.

This prohibition is necessary for mining feature investigation works and it is expected that the closure will be from 5th January 2026 to 27th March 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.
Road affected - Clijah Lane, South Downs for its entire length.

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 8th December 2025 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Clijah Lane, South Downs for its entire length.
The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works being executed on or near the road to carry out a drilling investigation The Order will come into operation on 9th December 2025 and the works are expected to be completed by the 5th January 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.
The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 17th November 2025 fora period of 21 days.
Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

This prohibition is necessary for gas mains replacement works and it is expected that the closure will be from 5th January 2026 to 9th February 2026. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.
