ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(SMITHERWAY, BUGBROOKE)

(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along that length of Smitherway, Bugbrooke as set out below.

LENGTH OF FOOTWAY TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Smitherway, Bugbrooke from number 12 to number 20 Smitherway.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during telecom works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 14th January 2026 and will continue in force for a period of six months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the footway will be restricted for 2 days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Waggoners Way and Johns Road.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along those lengths of Brackley Road and Chapel Lane, Greatworth as set out below.

LENGTHS OF ROADS TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: Those lengths of Brackley Road and Chapel Lane, Greatworth – from Halse Road to The Square.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during telecom ducting and clearance works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 12th January 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the roads will be restricted until 14th January 2026.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Marston Road, Greatworth Road, Brackley Road, Cockley Road and Halse Road.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along those lengths of High Street and Buckingham Road, Whittlebury as set out below.

LENGTHS OF ROADS TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: Those lengths of High Street and Buckingham Road, Whittlebury . Phase 3 – from County boundary to Deanshanger Road; Phase 4 – from Deanshanger Road to Lodge Park.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during major main replacement works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 5th January 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the first closures will be in place until 28th March 2026.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 22nd December 2025 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. LENGTHS OF ROADS TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: Those lengths of Duckworth Dell – from Medullin Hill to Teeside; and Donellan Green – from Teeside to Barley Hill Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway repairs.
