What is happening?
THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
(Great Melton, Various Roads) Speed Limit Orders 2025
The Norfolk County Council has made the following Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 1st December 2025, and which come into effect on
8th December 2025:
The Norfolk County Council (Great Melton, Various Roads) (30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2025
The effect of this Order is to prohibit any motor vehicle from exceeding 30 miles per hour along the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below:
C169 High Green – From its junction with C185 Hethersett Road southwards for a distance of 375 metres.
C169 Hall Road – From its junction with C185 Hethersett Road northwards for a distance of 135 metres.
C185 Hethersett Road – From its junction with C169 Hall Road/High Green, eastwards for a distance of 213 metres.
The 30mph speed limit on the above lengths of road is a change to the existing 60mph national speed limit.
The Norfolk County Council (Great Melton, Various Roads) (40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2025
The effect of this Order is to prohibit any motor vehicle from exceeding 40 miles per hour along the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below:
C169 Hall Road – From a point of 135 metres Northwards from its junction with C185 Hethersett Road northwards for a distance of 184 metres to its junction with C169 Market Lane/U78005 Hall Road.
C169 Market Lane – From its junction with C169 Hall Road, Eastwards for a distance of 60 metres.
U78005 Hall Road – From its junction with C169 Market Lane north-westwards for a distance of 250 metres.
The 40mph speed limit on the above lengths of road is a change to the existing 60mph national speed limit.
