What is happening?

BATH & NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL

(THTTC3981 SNATCH LANE, UBLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Snatch Lane, Ubley from a point approximately 50 metres north of Park Farm. USRN: 47961138.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Bristol Water access to meter complex to repair/replace company water meter on the 16th December 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months.

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Snatch Lane (remainder) – Bickfield Lane – Tinkers Lane – A368 – The Street – Snatch Lane – vice versa.

(THTTC4021 SCOT LANE, CHEW STOKE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

Notice Is Given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Scot Lane, Chew Stoke from a point outside the property known as Scot Cottage extending north to its junction with Pagans Hill Upper. USRN: 47904076.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wales & West Utilities to install a new connection from the 12th January 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for FIVE DAYS.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Clockwise: Scot Lane (remainder) – Pagans Hill – B3114 Bristol Road – Blind Lane – Pilgrim’s Way – Scot Lane.

Anti-clockwise: Scot Lane (remainder) – Pilgrim’s Way – Pagans Hill – Scot Lane.
