LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
8. The Order will come into operation on Friday 2nd January 2026 and it is anticipated the works will be completed by 6th February 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTIONS 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
(DUNMORE ROAD, KENWYN ROAD, LANGHAM ROAD AND STANTON ROAD, SW20)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice, that to facilitate lead pipe replacement works in Dunmore Road, Kenwyn Road, Langham Road and Stanton Road, SW20, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said roads.
2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in:–
(a) Dunmore Road, both sides, for its entire length;
(b) Kenwyn Road, both sides, for its entire length;
(c) Langham Road, both sides, for its entire length;
(d) Stanton Road, both sides, for its entire length.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended.
4. The restrictions and suspensions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order would apply:–
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.
6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. The Order would come into operation on Monday 5th January 2026 and it is anticipated the restrictions would be in place until 7th April 2026. However, the Order would remain in force in case further works are required.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice, that to facilitate lead pipe replacement works in Aston Road, Carlton Park Avenue, Clifton Park Avenue, Gore Road and Prince George’s Avenue, SW20, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said roads.
2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in:–
(a) Aston Road, both sides, for its entire length;
(b) Carlton Park Avenue, both sides, for its entire length;
(c) Clifton Park Avenue, both sides, for its entire length;
(d) Gore Road, both sides, for its entire length;
(e) Prince George’s Avenue, both sides, for its entire length.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
(CHRISTCHURCH ROAD AND PRINCE GEORGE’S ROAD, SW19)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate sewer cleaning and associated works in Christchurch Road and Prince George’s Road, SW19, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said roads.
2. During the works no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:–
(a) enter or proceed in:–
(i) Prince George’s Road, from its junction with Christchurch Road to its junction with Tandem Way; or
(ii) Christchurch Road, the southbound nearside lane, from its junction with Tandem Way to its junction with Western Road; or
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.
3. Any designated parking place, situated in the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended for the duration of the works in those roads or lengths of road.
4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order will apply to:–
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. Vehicular traffic affected by the closure of Prince George’s Road should proceed by way of Tandem Way and Christchurch Road.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order will come into force on Wednesday 17th December 2025 and it is expected that the works will be completed the following day. However, the Order will remain in force for a period of 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
(POPLAR ROAD SOUTH, SW19)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement works in Poplar Road South, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicles to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Poplar Road South, from its junction with Crown Lane northward to its junction with Cranleigh Road.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of Poplar Road South specified in sub-paragraph 2 above will be suspended for the duration of the works. (Parking provision will be made for local residents directly affected by the works).
4. The restrictions and suspensions will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
6. Nothing in the Order will apply to: –
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) any vehicle prevented from accessing adjacent properties due to the works.
7. The Order will come into operation on Monday 8th December 2025, with the works anticipated to be completed on 22nd December 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 3 months and its provisions will be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (LEOPOLD ROAD, SW19)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice, that to facilitate electrical jointing works in Leopold Road, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:–
(a) enter or proceed in Leopold Road, from its junction with Alexandra Road, westward for a distance of 35 metres;
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Arthur Road and Strathearn Road or vice-versa.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply:–
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
