Jedburgh Close - Prohibition Any Pedestrian Traffic T0 Works
What is happening?
CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE
(JEDBURGH CLOSE ) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 27 November 2025 the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian traffic to proceed on footpath linking Jasmin Avenue and Jedburgh Close south eastwards for its full extent.
2. The alternative route for traffic will be signed on site as required.
3. The order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4. Exemptions will be provided for personnel engaged in the said works and police, fire brigade and ambulance personnel on emergency call.
5. The Order will come into operation on 20 April 2026 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, up to 29 May 2026 or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
