(BIRMINGHAM, A4540 TO CITY BOUNDARY) (ONE WAY TRAFFIC) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2019) (SLACK LANE, HANDSWORTH WOOD) (VARIATION) ORDER 202*
NOTICE is hereby given that the above named Council propose to make these Orders under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 84(1) and (2) 101 and 102 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended) the effect of which will be as follows:
1. To introduce a 20mph Speed Limit on lengths of WOOD LANE, ROMILY AVENUE, ROMULUS CLOSE, ELMWOOD GARDENS, DENEWOOD AVENUE, THE COPPICE, BUTLERS ROAD, LIMBERLOST CLOSE, WORLDS END ROAD, THE SLIEVE, COOPERS ROAD, SOMERSET ROAD, SLACK LANE, COLLEGE ROAD, WINDERMERE ROAD, CORNWALL ROAD, COLLEGE DRIVE, DEVONSHIRE ROAD and TAVENERS GREEN.
2. To introduce a One-Way Traffic Restriction on a length of SLACK LANE.
INSTALLATION OF ROAD HUMPS

NOTICE is also hereby given that above named Council proposes under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 to construct speed cushions up to a maximum height of 75mm, at the following approximate locations, for the purpose of reducing speed:
1. WOOD LANE, DENEWOOD AVENUE, BUTLERS ROAD, WORLDS END ROAD, COOPERS ROAD, SOMERSET ROAD, WINDERMERE ROAD, DEVONSHIRE ROAD.
Full details of these proposals are in the draft Orders which, together with the plans and a statement of the Council’s reasons for the proposals, will be made available on request (Contact Imran Z Khan Tel: 07783 884328: email: Imran.z.khan@birmingham.gov.uk).
Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders or Road Humps should write to the Director – Infrastructure and Sustainability at Place, Prosperity & Sustainability Directorate, Birmingham City Council, PO Box 14439, Birmingham B2 2JE stating the grounds for objection by the 8th January 2026.
