Much Marcle - Temporary Road Closure due to Pole Replacement Works

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: C1289 The Old Lodge To Much Marcle, Much Marcle, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1289 The Old Lodge To Much Marcle, Much Marcle, approximately 65mtrs east of Bickerton Cottage. Grid Ref: 366047/231321. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the B4024 onto Kempley Road onto the C1289 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to pole replacement works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 16th of December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
