THE LONDON BOROUGH OF TOWER HAMLETS ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

NEWARK STREET – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition: Location: Newark Street, between its junction with New Road and Turner Street. Reason: For crane operation works. The works are to be carried out on the public highway by Chevron Traffic Management. Period: Saturday 6th December 2025. Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be Turner Street, Walden Street and New Road. NEW ROAD – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition: Location: New Road, south from its junction with Whitechapel Road. Reason: For the installation of HVM benches. The works are to be carried out on the public highway by J B Riney. Period: Saturday 13th December 2025. Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Whitechapel Road, Sidney Street and Commercial Road or Commercial Road, White Church Lane and Whitechapel Road. MOWLEM STREET – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition: Location: Mowlem Street, north from its junction with Bishops Way. Reason: To clear blockages on the telecoms network. The works are to be carried out on the public highway by OCU. Period: Monday 8th December 2025 to Wednesday 10th December 2025. Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Bishops Way, Russia Lane, Parmiter Street, Cambridge Heath Road and Wadeson Street. MALCOLM ROAD – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition:

Location: Malcolm Road between its junction with Mantus Road and Malcolm Place. (At the Railway Bridge).

Reason: For Bridge maintenance/inspection works. The works are to be carried on the public highway by Network Rail.

Period: The works are to be carried out over three nights.

Night 1: From 22:00 hours on 8th December 2025 to 06:00 hours on 9th December 2025.

Night 2: From 22:00 hours on 9th December 2025 to 6:00 hours on 10th December 2025.

Night 3: From 22:00 hours on 10th December 2025 to 06:00 hours on 11th December 2025.

Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Cephas Street, Cambridge Heath Road, Roman Road, Globe Road and vice versa.

LEYDEN STREET (EXTENSION) – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping, or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition:

Location: Leyden Street between its junction with Wentworth Street to its junction with Cobb Street.

Reason: To facilitate modernisation works on the public highway. The works are to be carried out by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

Period: Wednesday 1st October 2025 to Wednesday 31st December 2025.

Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Wentworth Street, Bell Lane and Cobb Street or Cobb Street, Middlesex Street and Wentworth Street.

CHRISTIAN STREET – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition:

Location: Christian Street from its junction with Commercial Road for 40 metres south.

Reason: For gas works. The works are to be carried out on the public highway by Cadent Gas.

Period: Monday 8th December 2025 to Friday 12th December 2025.

Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Commercial Road and Batty Street.

BROMLEY HIGH STREET – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition:

Location: Outside 34 Ballinger Point, Bromley High Street E3 3AT.

Reason: To install monitoring equipment on the water mains system on Bromley High Street. The works also involve fitting new chamber cover and reinstatement. The works are to be carried out on the public highway by Thames Water.

Period: Monday 1st December 2025 to Saturday 6th December 2025.

Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be Rainhill Way, Devons Road and Bruce Road.

ASHFIELD STREET – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets made an order which will prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, stopping or proceeding, the following temporary prohibition:

Location: Ashfield Street, east from its junction with Turner Street for 50 metres.

Reason: For the replacement of cast-iron water pipes and installation of new water plastic pipes. The works are to be carried out on the public highway by Thames Water.

Period: Friday 28th November 2025 to Friday 19th December 2025.

Alternative Route: For vehicular traffic will be via Turner Street, Varden Street and Cavell Street.
