NOTICE is given that on 1 December 2025 Oxfordshire County Council made the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the orders, which come into force on 8 December – in accordance with parking policy – and parking permits – is to amend the eligibility of the following properties to apply for Residents & Visitors Parking Permits as follows:

1. Magdalen North – exclude No.55 Randolph Street from eligibility to apply for residents’ parking permits & residents’ visitors parking permits

2. Cowley East – exclude 13 Cleveland Drive from eligibility to apply for residents’ parking permits & residents’ visitors parking permits

3. Walton Manor – exclude No.179 Kingston Road from eligibility to apply for residents’ parking permits & residents’ visitors parking permits

4. Central Area (B) – exclude Flat Nos.1-7 at 46 Hythe Bridge Street from eligibility to apply for residents’ parking permits & residents’ visitors parking permits

5. Cowley West – exclude No.5 Bartholomew Road & No.16 Crowell Road from eligibility to apply for residents’ parking permits & residents’ visitors parking permits

Additionally – as a result of residential development at No.19 Wharton Road, Headington – an amendment to parking provision is made:

6. Headington Northeast

a. The ‘Two-hour shared-use 8am-6.30pm Monday to Friday’ parking bay north of the common boundary of Nos. 21a & 21b, is removed in its entirety and replaced with new ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) to help ensure safe entry/egress to/from the new properties.

b. and the inclusion of all flats at 5 St Leonards Road and 19 Wharton Road for eligibility to apply for residents’ parking permits & resident visitors parking permits.

Finally, the following administrative amendments are made as a result of inconsistencies being identified within the relevant Traffic Regulation Orders:

7. Marston North – confirm that even Nos. 26-38 Park Way are eligible to apply for both resident’s parking permits and residents’ visitors’ parking permits, having originally been omitted in error.

8. Magdalen Road South – inserting the existing ‘Permit Holders Only’ parking place on Hertford Street, adjacent to Nos. 40-56 into the relevant schedule, which had been omitted from the original order in error. No changes will be made on-the-ground, with all restrictions remaining as currently in place.

The variation orders further amend the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford, Magdalen Road (North) Area) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2012, the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford – Magdalen Road South Area) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2019, the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford, Cowley Central East Area) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2021, the (Oxford, Cowley Central West Area) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2022, the (Oxford, Headington Northeast) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2022, the Oxfordshire County Council (Walton Manor, Oxford) (Parking Places and Traffic Management) (Consolidation) Order 2003, the Oxfordshire County Council (Central Area, Oxford) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2011, the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford) (Marston North Area) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2021, the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford, Headington Northeast) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2021, the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford, Cowley Central West Area) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2021, and the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford, Headington Northeast) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2021.

(VARIOUS ROADS – WEST OXFORDSHIRE)

(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PERMITTED PARKING) (VARIATION NO.37) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that on 1 December 2025 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 8 December – is to help better facilitate the management of the weekly market – amends the existing time-limited waiting provision of ‘2 Hours with no return for 1 hour 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday’ on Market Place in Chipping Norton, so that on Wednesdays between Midnight & 6pm, Market Traders (MT) only will be eligible to park (without restriction). Time-limited parking will remain as currently available on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday to Saturday.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads – West Oxfordshire) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2012 will be further amended as necessary.

(FOREST HILL WITH SHOTOEVER, A40 EASTBOUND LAYBY)

(PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that on 01st December 2025 Oxfordshire County Council made the above experimental Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order, which comes into force on 12 December 2025, is to prohibit at all times access to the A40 eastbound carriageway layby situated about 330 metres west of the junction with Church Hill.

The cycle route will be maintained.

The Order contains provisions allowing the County Council’s Directors for Communities and Environment to modify or suspend the Order, or any provisions of the Order in accordance with section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act.

The Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person may object to the making of an Order for the purposes of such indefinite continuation within a period of 6 months:

(a) beginning with the day on which the experimental Order came into force, or

(b) if this Order is varied or modified by a Director for the County Council pursuant to section 10(2) of the 1984 Act, beginning with the day on which the variation or modification comes into force.

If you wish to question the validity of the experimental order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order, you may within 6 weeks from 1 December 2025 apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Any such objection must be in writing and state the grounds on which it is made and all objections and other representations must be sent to the address given below within the relevant time period given above. NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the proposals – in accordance with parking policy & planning permissions – is to amend the eligibility of the following properties to apply for Residents & Visitors Parking Permits as follows:

Marston North – exclude No.44 Arlington Drive from eligibility to apply for resident’s parking permits & residents’ visitors parking permits,

Marston South – exclude the Flats at Friar Court, No.2 Old Marston Road (30 student rooms) from eligibility to apply for resident’s parking permits & residents’ visitors parking permits,

North Oxford – exclude the new properties at the ‘University College Annexe’ development at No. 115 Banbury Road/No.98 Woodstock Road/Staverton Road from eligibility to apply for resident’s parking permits & residents’ visitors parking permits,

Wood Farm – exclude No.59 & No.67 Masons Road from eligibility to apply for resident’s parking permits & residents’ visitors parking permits.

Additionally – within the newly created Central Didcot permit parking area, following requests and a subsequent review by Officers, it is proposed that residents of Nos. 1-44 Rymans Crescent will be eligible to apply for both residents’ parking permits & residents’ visitors’ permits.

The proposals will further amend the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford, Marston North Area) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Orders 2021, the Oxfordshire County Council (Marston South) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2007, the Oxfordshire County Council (North Oxford) (Controlled Parking Zone and Various Restrictions) Order 2004, the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford, Wood Farm Area) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2019, and the Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads – South Oxfordshire) (Map Based) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2021.

1. (VARIOUS ROADS – SOUTH OXFORDSHIRE) (MAP BASED) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PERMITTED PARKING) (VARIATION NO.*) ORDER 20**

2. (GARSTON PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. Order 1 is being put forward as a result of continual obstructive parking in the area – and will extend the existing ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (double yellow lines) parking restrictions on both sides of Fieldside north-eastwards for approx. 205 metres.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads – South Oxfordshire) (Map Based) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2021 will be further amended, updating Map Tiles: ‘FI78’ & ‘FJ78’ in the process.

Order 2 will help facilitate the introduction of the proposed parking restrictions, with an amendment to the existing 20mph speed limit on Fieldside – extending the limit south-westwards for an additional 25 metres.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Garston Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2015 will therefore be revoked/replaced as necessary.
