NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

High Street, Knapwell Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1958
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, Knapwell as lies between Old School House & Slepewood House. The alternative route for vehicles is via Knapwell Rd, Elsworth; Boxworth Rd; Smith St; Brockley Rd; St Neots Rd Old Alignment, St Neots Rd, Knapwell; The Knapwell Wood Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/12/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/6/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 17/12/25 & 14/1/26.

Brampton Road, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10003
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Brampton Road, Cambridge as lies between Nos.25 & 55. The alternative route for vehicles is via Coldhams Ln C298, Cromwell Rd, Fairfax Rd, Brampton Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telegraph pole replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 6/1/26.

Cross Street, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10004
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cross Street, Cambridge as lies between Glisson Road & Covent Garden. The alternative route for vehicles is via Glisson Rd; Mill St; Covent Gdn & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telegraph pole replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 26/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 25/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 26/1/26.

Jesus Lane, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2026-10006
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Jesus Lane, Cambridge as lies between Nos.64 & 69.
The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 12/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 11/7/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12/1 & 16/1/26.

Hills Road, Cambridge Temporary Suspension Of Cycle Lane – Order 2026-10007
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane as lies between No.163 & the Crystal Hotel. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area G (Consolidation) Order 1993. Schedule 23 – Cycle Lanes, Part 2 – Mandatory With flow cycle lane. Hills Road – On its east side from a point 57 metres north of its junction with Elsworth Place to a point 110 metres north of its junction with Queen Edith’s Way. Hills Road – On its west side from its junction with Long Road to a point 38 metres north of its junction with Purbeck Road is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new gas connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane & it will come into operation on 17/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/7/27 whichever is the earlier. This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Hills Road, Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 17/1 & 18/1/26.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Hooper St; Ainsworth St; York St; New St; Sturton St & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 12/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 11/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12/1 & 14/1/26.

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Tennis Court Rd, Cambridge as lies between Simon Sainsbury Centre & Fitzwilliam St; Fitzwilliam St & No.12 respectively. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993. Relevant wording: Schedule 6 – One-way streets Tennis Court Road from its junction with Lensfield Rd to its junction with Fitzwilliam St – From south to north is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate ducting & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 19/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/7/26 whichever is the earlier. Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Sawston Footpath 21, Sawston as lies between Paddock way & substation. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate cabling & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 19/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/7/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19/1 & 1/2/26.

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Green Street, Cambridge as lies at the junction with Sidney Street. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate ducting & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 19/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/7/27 whichever is the earlier. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate pole replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 20/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 19/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20/1 & 21/1/26.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Haslingfield Rd, Harlton; High St; Eversden Rd; A603; Haslingfield Rd, Barton; Barton Rd, Haslingfield; Church Street & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water main laying & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5/1 & 30/1/26.

Cambridge Road, Stapleford Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10066
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cambridge Road, Stapleford as lies between Bury Road & Sawston/ Stapleford Bridge. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1301; Addenbrookes Rd, Cambridge; A1309; M11; A505; A1301 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 13/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 12/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19:00hrs & 03:00hrs 13/1 to 14/1/26.

Newmarket Road, Cambridge Temporary Suspension Of Bus Lane – Order 2026-10071
Will be to temporarily suspend the bus lane as lies between Cheddars Lane & No.264. During the period this Order remains in force the Cambridgeshire County Council, Various Streets, Cambridge, Bus Lanes, Order 2024. Roads & parts of roads on which any vehicle other than a pedal cycle. Electric scooter, Bus, Hackney carriage or private hire vehicle is prohibited at all times on all days. Newmarket Rd: On the south side from a point 155 metres west of its junction with Ditton Walk to a point 50 metres northeast of its junction with River Ln is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate manhole chamber repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near the bus lane & it will come into operation on 19/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/7/27 whichever is the earlier. This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Newmarket Rd, Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19/1 & 20/1/26.

Harding Way, Histon Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10096
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Harding Way, Histon as lies between No.3 & Park Lane. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 5/1 to 7/1/26.

Station Road, Great Shelford Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-10099

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cambridge Road, Waterbeach as lies between Nos.93 & 111. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 19/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/7/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19/1 & 23/1/26.

Milton Road, Cambridge Temporary Suspension Of Cycle Lane & Temporary Suspension Of Bus Lane – Order 2026-10120
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane & bus lane as lies between Kendal Way & Cook Close. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area C Consolidation Order 1993: Schedule 22 Dual use cycle track: Milton Rd – On its south east side from the centreline of Kendal Way for a distance of 16 metres in a northeasterly direction is hereby suspended. During the period this Order remains in force the Cambridgeshire County Council Various Streets, Cambridge Bus Lanes Order 2024 Schedule: Roads & parts of roads on which any vehicle other than a pedal cycle, electric scooter, bus, hackney carriage or private hire vehicle is prohibited at all times on all days. Milton Rd: On the north-west side from a point 50 metres south-west of its junction with Woodhead Drive to a point 45 metres south-west of its junction with King’s Hedges Rd is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate a new electrical connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane & it will come into operation on 19/1/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/7/27 whichever is the earlier.
