NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE ORDER SECTION 14 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS BA27/84, BA27/85 & BA27/86, TEMPLE STREET, KEYNSHAM) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a closure to: the section of Public Footpath BA27/84 commencing from ST65536835 and proceeding in a generally SSW direction for approx 85m to a junction with Public Footpath BA27/86 at ST65526829; the section of Public Footpath BA27/85 commencing from a junction with Public Footpath BA27/86 at ST65516832 and proceeding in a generally E direction for approx 29m to a junction with Public Footpath BA27/84 at ST65546833; and the section of Public Footpath BA27/86 commencing from a junction with Public Footpath BA27/84 at ST65526829 and proceeding in a generally NNW direction for approx 62m to ST65506835.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the right of way: namely the applicant will be carrying out construction works.
The Order will come into force on 11 January 2026 and will be effective until 28 April 2026.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Temple Street - Public Footpath BA27/19 - Public Footpath BA27/20. Vice Versa.
