What is happening?

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF GATESHEAD
(CAMPION GARDENS, WINDY NOOK - FOOTPATH CLOSURE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY given that the Borough Council of Gateshead proposes to make an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the footpath at Campion Gardens from a point 72 metres northwest of its junction with Campion Gardens in a north-westerly direction for 25 metres. The Order is required to facilitate essential ducting works. The Order will come into force on the 07 January 2026. The maximum duration of the Order will be 6 months, however the works are expected to be completed on the 07 January 2026. During the works all pedestrians (except pedestrians associated with the works and emergency service operatives on duty) will be prohibited from proceeding along the above footpath until the works are completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs. During the prohibition there will be a signed diversion in place.
