(TWECHAR ROAD, TWECHAR)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
On 09 December 2026 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on Twechar Road, Twechar between its junction with MacDonald Crescent and its junction with the B8048, near Twechar by reason of works being executed on or near this road. This Order will operate from 18.00 hours on Friday, 12 December 2025 until 18.00 hours on Saturday, 31 January 2026.
Alternative Routes
The alternative routes will be by way of Main Street, the B8023 Shirva Road, the A803 Kilsyth Road and Glasgow Road, the A806 New Lairdsland Road, the B8048 Waterside Road, Kirkintilloch, the B8048, and the B802, and these routes will be signposted.
