Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 11 December 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (GRAFTON STREET A5 TO V4, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2314)
The closure is necessary to enable Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure Limited to carry out telecoms works Rigging, install new tower, install 3 antennas.
The effect of the Order will be to (temporally close) prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following part of road:
5th January 2026 – 21st January 2026
Grafton Street A5 to V4 (Northbound), Bletchley (Between 10:00pm and 6:00am each night)
From its junction with Granby Roundabout to its junction with Peverel Drive
Whilst the above closure is in place the alternative route will be via Bletcham Way, Saxon Street and Groveway.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SAXON STREET (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2305)
This order is to allow Network Rail to undertake Vegetation Management and Surveys.
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
12th – 18th January 2026 (24 hours)
Saxon Street, Bletchley – from its junction with Watling Street to its junction with Princes Way.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Standing Way and Buckingham Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (DRAYTON ROAD (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2304)
This order is to allow CityFibre to undertake ducting works in the carriageway.
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
5th – 9th January 2026 (24 hours)
Drayton Road, Bletchley – from its junction with Lomond Drive to its junction with Fern Grove.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via A4146 and Stoke Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS TONGWELL, LITTLE CRAWLEY, CALVERTON AND WALTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2268)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of roads to enable Anglian Water to undertake maintenance works within the carriageway:
12th January 2026 – 16th January 2026 (Between 9:30am and 3:30pm)
Simpson Road Walton – Outside Number 1.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Simpson Road, Simpson Drive, Groveway, Brickhill Street, Chase Avenue (and vice versa).
8th January 2026 (Between 12:00pm and 4:00pm)
Calverton Lane Lower Weald Calverton – Outside Rectory Farm.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Calverton Road, Horsefair Green, High Street, Queen Eleanor Street, Watling Street (and vice versa).
12th January 2026 – 14th January 2026 (24 Hours)
Gog Lane Little Crawley – Outside Uplands
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Gog Lane, Chicheley Road, A422.
12th January 2026 – 20th January 2026 (24 Hours)
Delaware Drive Tongwell – At its junction with Brickhill Street.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Brickhill Street, Dansteed Way and Delaware Drive (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BOW BRICKHILL TO LITTLE BRICKHILL ROAD (PART), LITTLE BRICKHILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2294)
This order is to allow National Highways to undertake bridge repair works at A5 junction.
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
12th – 17th January 2026 (overnight 20:00 – 06:00)
Bow Brickhill to Little Brickhill Road, Little Brickhill – from its junction with the southbound slip road so the A5 to its junction with Watling Street.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Watling Street and A5 or Watling Street, Brickhill Road, Station Road and Church Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SIMPSON ROAD (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2284)
This order is to allow Network Rail to undertake maintenance, and repair works at the level crossing.
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
10th – 12th January 2026 (overnight 21:00 – 06:00)
Simpson Road, Bletchley – from its junction with Bristow Close to its junction with Lock View Lane.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Watling Street, Bilton Road and Staple Hall Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WINDMILL HILL DRIVE, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2228)
This order is to allow SGN to undertake gas installation works in the carriageway.
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
5th January 2026 – 13th February 2026 (24 Hours)
Windmill Hill Drive, Bletchley – from its junction with Birkdale Close to its junction with Ashridge Close
Whilst the above length of road is closed, there will be no alternative route. Windmill Hill Drive, Buckingham Road and Whaddon Way (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (HIGH STREET (PART), STONY STRATFORD – VINTAGE STONY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2270)
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit all vehicles from entering, proceeding, or waiting along that part of High Street, Stony Stratford between its junctions with Church Street, and Wolverton Road.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 1st January 2026 at 8.00am and will continue in operation for a maximum of 3 days or until the completion of the relevant event, whichever shall be the earlier, however it is anticipated that the restrictions will only remain in effect until 2.00pm on 1st January 2026.
The alternative route for traffic will be via Church Street, Silver Street and Horsefair Green (and vice versa).
Pedestrian access to adjacent properties and premises shall be maintained throughout the closure. There shall be no exemptions from the provisions of the order other than for emergency services vehicles and military vehicles.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (RAMSAY CLOSE BRADWELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2247)
This order is to enable Openreach to carry out installation of Duct.
5th January 2026 – 6th January 2026 (24 hours of every day).
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
Ramsay Close Bradwell – Outside Number 27.
Whilst the above length of road is closed access will be maintained.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 09 December 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (ALL GRID ROADS AND PRIMARY ROADS WITHIN MILTON KEYNES) (TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2310)
Its effect will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding at a speed in excess of 20mph, 30mph and/or 40mph on all grid roads and primary roads within Milton Keynes.
The Council is satisfied that the temporary speed restriction Order is necessary to enable a safe working environment whilst essential scheme development, highway maintenance and repair works are being carried out, including grass cutting, gully cleaning, litter picking, street lighting, mechanical sweeping, lining maintenance and stud replacement and all other maintenance activities. The temporary 20mph, 30mph and 40mph speed restrictions will only be introduced when works are required and only when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs, which will be erected in advance of any restriction.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CALVERTON LANE, CALVERTON) (TEMPORARY 30 AND 40 MPH SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2308)
to make an order under Section 14(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Calverton Lane, Calverton at a speed in excess of 30mph from its junction with Watling Street for 500 metres in a westerly direction (on both carriageways) and then to prohibit speeds in excess on 40mph for a further 320 metres whilst works to create a new junction are being undertaken.
The temporary 30mph and 40mph speed restrictions will be in effect from 13th December 2025 until 3rd April 2026 and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (NICHOLAS MEAD, GREAT LINFORD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2266)
in order to enable Openreach to carry out ducting works 15 December 2025 (Between 8:00am and 6:00pm).
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
Nicholas Mead, Great Linford – From outside Number 90 to Number 5.
Whilst the above length of road is closed access will be maintained.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (HAZEL GROVE, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2278)
This order is to allow Openreach to undertake ducting works in the carriageway.
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
15th – 19th December 2025 (09:30 – 15:30)
Hazel Grove, Bletchley – its entire length.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, there will be no alternative route. However, access will be provided to residents when safe to do so.
