(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Lane, Great Holland in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 1300m south east of its junction with Rectory Road for a distance of approximately 80m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th January 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC3001490555 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new overhead to underground service works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
No alternative route is available.
The Order will come into effect on 11th December 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Pork Lane, Great Holland/Thorpe Le Soken)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Holland Road, Little Clacton) Temporary Suspension of 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Pork Lane, Great Holland/Thorpe Le Soken in the District of Tendring, from the junction of Thorpe Road to the junction of Main Road a distance of approximately 2420m.
To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction on that length of Holland Road, Little Clacton from its junction with The Street to its junction with Tan Lane as detailed in “Essex County Council (Various Roads, Little Clacton And Weeley) (Weight Restriction) Order 1999” for the duration of the closure only.
The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 5th January 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP2011E2389407 — Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/ suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching and signage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via B1032, Little Clacton Road, Great Holland Road, Standbury Lane, Holland Road, B1441, B1033 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 11th December 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(York Road, Holland-On-Sea)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of York Road, Holland-On-Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Frinton Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th January 2026 for 15 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5010011446427 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Salisbury Road, Princes Road, Frinton Road and vice versa (with access only into York Road).
The Order will come into effect on 11th December 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Coppins Road, Clacton on Sea)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coppins Road, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Dudley Road to its junction with Old Road a distance of approximately 235m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd December 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2930396 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching and gulley defect works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Old Road, St Osyth Road, Dudley Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 27th November 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Harold Grove, Frinton On Sea)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Harold Grove, Frinton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Connaught Avenue to its junction with Harold Way a distance of approximately 35m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th December 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC3110003WMJ241C – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Harold Grove, Harold Road, Connaught Avenue and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 27th November 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Harold Way, Frinton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Harold Grove to its junction with Harold Road a distance of approximately 215m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th December 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2393256 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sink hole investigation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Harold Road, B1033, Harold Grove and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 27th November 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Harold Way, Frinton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 35m north of its junction with Harold Road for a distance of approximately 70m in a northerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th December 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC3110001WMGJ241C – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Harold Way, Harold Road, Harold Grove and vice versa.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Preston Road, Holland On Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Kings Avenue for a distance of approximately 25m in a north easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th December 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110290378 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while boundary box replacement works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Preston Road, Queensway, Frinton Road, Kings Avenue and vice versa.

(Various Roads, District of Tendring) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway)
& (Olivers Road, Clacton On Sea) (Temporary Introduction of No Right Turn) (No.14) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Tendring as specified in the Schedule.
To temporarily introduce a no right hand turn from Olivers Road, Clacton On Sea in the District of Tendring into Old Road.
A temporary “No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping” restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway on the above lengths of road, for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 27th November 2025. Exact dates will be specified on One.Network.
The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
