PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.1 SWINDON PARISH (PART) FROM
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the following lengths of Public Rights of Way: That length of Public Footpath No. 1 Swindon Parish (Part) from the junction of The Holloway for 350m in a south easterly direction until the junction with Public Footpath No. 0.79 Swindon Parish.
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) to facilitate construction works at the Cadent Operational Gas Site. An alternative route is available and will be displayed on site. This route will be available from 12/1/26.
A plan will be displayed on site to show the length of path to be closed and unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order will come into operation on 5/1/26 and will remain in force for a period of six months, or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
