What is happening?

ABERDEENSHIRE COUNCIL

TORPHINS – TEMPORARY CLOSURE

“The Aberdeenshire Council (Craigmyle Road, Torphins – 08.12.25) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular traffic) Order, 2025” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.

The order will operate from 08.12.25 for a period of 9 days and will prohibit any person from driving on Craigmyle Road, Torphins from the junction with the A980 to the junction leading to the U22m.

Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.

The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety to allow fibre infrastructure installation works to be carried out. An alternative route is available via the A980 (Torphins), Woodside Road, Craigmyle Road and vice versa.
