(WISEMAN STREET, BURNLEY) (OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2025
NOTICE OF MAKING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Burnley Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 32 and 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) (“the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers with the consent of Lancashire County Council in accordance with Section 39(3) of the 1984 Act and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act made the above- mentioned Order on 26th November 2025 the effect of which is to regulate parking on a new car park, known as Wiseman Street, Burnley, as a Parking Permit only Parking Place. The Order will come into force on 5th December 2025.

A copy of the Order and a copy of the associated Statement of Reasons explaining the background to the Order may be inspected at the offices of Burnley Borough Council, Town Hall, Manchester Road, Burnley during office hours (9.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays).
If you wish to question the validity of this order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred or on the grounds that any requirement of any Act or of any instrument has not been complied with, you may, within 6 weeks from 5th December 2025, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
